Hi everyone,

This is my first post so I thought I'd start with an introduction. Die hard fan from the Central Coast, attend just about every NSW played game, member, blah blah blah.

Anyway apologies if this has been brought up before but with the game this weekend it's topical. This will be the only Sunday game we get at the beloved Leichhardt this year and I am really dissapointed. Saturday/Monday games we've pulled okay crowds but it just isn't the same as a Sunday arvo.

Obviously it's up to Fox/Ch9 to decide but is it being too bias saying Leichhardt should get Sunday scheduled at least 2 or 3 out of the 4 games?

Either way, bloody can't wait until this Sunday!

yes it sux i know but not much we can do except to get out there and support them.

just ask gus 'my head looks like a merino' gould about the amount of games we play on sunday afternoon at leichhardt and he will tell you its never enough.

Yeah that is very true. I'll attend any game in NSW I can be it Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday (or other?) but obviously more families attend Sunday and the atmosphere steps up a notch.

We've been give very few Sunday games period in 2011 too. I think we play our best football when it's a dry day game.

I agree I love Sunday Footy at Leichhardt Oval but I don't think what day the Footy is being played it isn't going to be dry…. Can't wait for this Sunday! Go the Tigers!!

I love Sunday afternoon at Leichhardt and cant believe I cant make it this Sunday due to work :frowning:

what about the upcoming roosters game at leichardt that may be a sunday

Unfortunately when and where the games are dictated by Channel Nine and Fox. Gus can carry on all he likes about the Tigers and Sunday arvo footy but it is his paymasters who decide

Hopefully with the next TV contract, the NRL will take back some control over who plays and when.

Sunday afternoons does not work for everyone. For instance, they don't work for me!

Much prefer Saturday night. Can have a few afternoon beers and don't have to work the next day.

The number of Sunday afternoon matches can be increased if the sample size increases from 4 to 6!

I don't think Channel Nine will lose the rights but the bargaining power of the NRL will have increased dramatically from the last deal. The league is in a much stronger position

Welcome v8tiger. Hope you enjoy the forum with all its sub plots and personal vendettas. I'm also very disappointed that we've only had one Sunday avoo game at Leichhardt this year, seeing as I bought a membership for all the Leichhardt games. So I'm very excited about this weekend - hope the weather improves.

the silver fox.He ran out of hair dye so theres no turning back now

Gould is now a Panther's GM, so i am sure he doesn't want to see his Panthers play us at a packed Leichhardt oval on a Sunday afternoon.

We love the Storm at Leichhardt, Bring it on!!!!!!

Go Tigers

Living up on the coast I get to go to very few games. But I am going this weekend because I want the best experience and that is the tigers at leichardt on Sunday arvo. I even won origin tickets (cat 1) for tonight but I can't make 2 trips down in one week so it has to leichardt for me as the best footy experience.

So who has a few Scherbets (Schooners at the game)???? I myself dont drink at the game as it too hard to get up and down during the game to go to the loo, or what the council call a toilet. Might head to the orange grove hotel after the game for a couple of schooners though.

Haha Yeah I find myself having only a couple beers at Tigers games because a) I'm more than likely driving there b) During the game I'm so nervous watching that I take no notice of any beverages…If I go to a non-Tigers game on Friday, saturday night with mates though, I'll usually have a bit more because I can relax and don't mind missing a few seconds of play to pee!

As for the weather, google is telling me clear sky by Friday...they better be telling the truth!

i think that where ever possible, Leichhardt and Campbelltown games should be played on Sunday afternoons..

All the reasons mentioned above… Plus friday and monday games are a nightmare with sydney's horrible traffic both in the inner west and south west
