Smith and Slater were outstanding in the second half while Pearce and Maloney crumbled. The refs were diabolical but Qld got plenty of dud calls to so the Blues can't really use the refs as a excuse.

It's amazing how a couple of champions can beat a very good football team year after year

People will stop bothering to watch soon - the refs played to a script . Don't see QLD forward passes , don't see NSW chasers taken out , call every dropped ball by QLD a strip …. it goes on and on to make a 3rd game relevant .

The sting came out of our forwards and those two players were great. I thought Queensland were great. They were completely smashed but not too far behind and they kept on competing. Then those players just came through with big plays. Gagai was also great.

Yep. We should have won that game but players like Hayne and Pearce are the type of players that don't have the smarts to be out there. Pearce also doesn't have the ability.

there were two mighty foward passes…...i also thought boyds pass to holmes was well forward....but the smith and thurston ones were laughable,like really come on.

I'm an ex NSW fan. I'm a much happier person now. When they kept picking the same midget back row, Buderus had to be exhumed to play hooker and Gaaaaaal took 3 hit ups most sets I decided to enjoy watching the greatest exponents of our sport ever. Now I don't support either side, but was happy for QLD. The subtle things their spine do put them head and shoulders above any spine we'll see again. Hate them all at club level, but you saw tonight why they are the best.

The game was not rigged by the refs, either NSW truly have no self belief or they were on the take. If you want to win a footy game, you have to play footy.

QLD kept playing while NSW looked like they wanted to nervously hang on. NSW had plenty of chances to put the game out of reach in the first half but couldn't.

Hanye was terrible for mine. Dumb plays, bad knock ons, dumb penalties, selfish play. This guy is living off his name and has been garbage since returning from NFL/Rugby 7s/dream catching
