Origin 11 *Live thread..

Can't blame the refs for that loss. 10 pts clear at half time & clearly dominating yet our 1/2s can't steer us home. That really should be Pearce's last game for the blues. Pathetic.

It would be ridiculous to not pick him for game 3\. This side can beat QLD in game 3 if they take their opportunities and play the full 80 mins. And it's not like there is another 1/2 that is demanding his spot.

Slater did nothing all game. I hope QLD pick him again.

Haha i remember watching my first game of Origin.

You'll get smashed in front of a home crowd in the decider. The win will be even sweeter.

Possibly. Doubt it though. Could be a replay of 2015 more likely. Yi yi yipee yipee yi

Hmmm yeah nah NSW are clearly the better team this year and look likely to dominate for years to come. I reckon piss tastes better than 4X beer.

The refereeing was dodgy, but in reality the Blues ran amok for just ten minutes in the first half. They were purely defensive in the second half. They didn't play 80 minutes so it's hard to complain about the refereeing.

You said the refereeing was dodgy then say you can't complain about it?
It's one or the other.

That's the problem we didn't take our opportunities. And that's the responsibility of the #7\. Pearce has had a great career in the nrl but he just can't seem to dominate at this level. Unfortunate but "it is what it is". If the pressure is on @ Suncorp game 3 I wouldn't depend on Pearce to get us home.

I'd move Maloney to 7, Moylan 6 & keep Bird as utility. Just dont see why Pearce should get another chance.

I'm not crushed the series hasn't been decided yet mate. If JT doesn't play you basically have no chance. Has that sunk in already?

I actually think Maloney is the most dangerous player in the blues squad. He makes line breaks every game he plays. He will lose that power if you give him control of the team. He has to stay at 6\. Pearce is hopeless at this level. His overall series would be a 4 even though he has scored twice. The powers that be just cant help talking him up…this is his time...he has matured as a player...destined for greatness. I feel sorry for him. That said, you cant replace him as itll disrupt the team too much. Daley, who is a dreadful coach, must earn his money and work out how to use the bloke, quicksmart.

Why would that sink in? thats not a fact.

I guess you like to nitpick. You'd be like a 20% chance of winning with JT out.

You would love him to be there lol
He has been our weak link forever, even the refs couldn't get QLD home if we had a decent half.
I would do what greatgodsofraven suggests or even leave Maloney where he is and put Adam Reynolds back at half.
Pearce should never have got back in the team.

Really? How did you calculate that figure? Sounds low…

Hopefully Wallace and Hess will be used more next game. Both returned poor figures. Just makes the work done by the rest of the forwards more impressive and means the middle can be strengthened even more.

QLD deserved the win. NSW only did everything right for 40 minutes. They shut up shop in the second half and Andrew Johns is right to have a go at them. They played dumb. JT was struggling defensively and the Blues went away from attacking QLD right edge, and they also stopped using the inside ball for Tedesco. The only change I'd consider making for NSW is getting Dugan out of the centres for someone like James Roberts, who has real speed and footwork. Can't see QLD making any changes unless Thurston is broken but I suspect he'll play.

Hopefully, after a day or so, someone will find all the cameras that go missing when QLD score a dubious try. Amazing in one of the biggest games of the year there was only one camera shot of Holmes try available and a decision was made in about 3 seconds. Funny that.

Give it away ck. You and Laurie Daley must be the only ones on earth that think NSW should have won that. I don't like SOO because of its impact on club footy so I don't give a rats who wins.
You could see NSW slowing down in the second half trying to maintain their lead. QLD just kept working at it. A few minutes from the end it could have gone either way but QLD wanted it more, were less arrogant and worked harder.
I enjoyed watching their win.

yeah that was just bizarre, in any other game we would have seen other camera angles. Honestly, whoever won or loss didn't matter, what's concerning to me were the blatlantly bad ref decisions….........you'd think we'd be used to it I guess.

I have not followed the debate due to being down club but what stuck out for me was Peats not chasing a guy towards the end of the game, he did a Woodsy and just let him run around him when about 20 metres out from the line. Maybe Peats can't handle 80 minutes. Woods was mainly ineffective, so predictable.

Can't see NSW making any changes either unless there are injuries. Dugan's attack hasn't been great this series but he is good defensively and covers fullback. He was involved in that try saver when he held up Morgan. You can bet JT will be targeted in game 3\. I'm counting down the days until the inevitable NSW series win at Suncorp. NSW beat themselves last night.
