The NSW players didn't seem particularly upset, in particular the Penrith boys.
If it's not Penrith Jerome couldn't give a rats.

It’s always interesting to me how a lot of the really good coaches of the past and present were never top class players.
Try Bennett, Bellamy, Cleary, Robinson, Gibson, Ryan,Sheens etc.
And yes I know on the other side Fulton, Stuart. Hasler, Walters etc.

The 3 best coaches i have seen in my life were Gibson Ryan and now Bellamy and as you say none of them were elite players just good judges of the game with people skills

Well as I think I’ve written many times on this forum, man management is near the top of the list for a good coach( along with recruitment ) and something that so many coaches are unable to achieve.
If you ever want to know the effect of guys like Gibson, listen to Sterling talk about his impact on the Parramatta players that delivered 3 premiership wins. He talks about Gibson with a reverence I’ve never heard before or since, but not once does he mention 200 passes, special moves etc. just extracting the very best out of the players he had with him.
There’s your coaching brief Benji, study and learn !!

Totally correct.
I wasn’t actually talking SOO I was talking coaching overall. They were top notch coaches.
And as you have the stats at your disposal who was our best Gould ? Another average footballer who would probably be in Reggie’s these days.

Looks ok but think Latrell will dog it and why in heavens name would they pick Suuali when he’s signed with Rugby.

Apart from Suali ( where did that come from?) certainly a lot better than last nights team.
Really poorly coached, no cohesion. Looked looke strangers in the night
 
Queensland spend their time in camp sharpening their set plays and training actual defensive formations as opposed to the NSW strategy of standing in a circle barefoot singing songs. Queensland dominated the series, NSW has clearly won the much more important victory of having the best vibes...

Bennett, Cleary and Sheens were all very good players.
