Lol from what I've read, Russia have a serious Rugby League comp and culture and Italy have basically just phoned in a team of Aussies and Rugby Union rejects. Harsh scoreline if true.

Italy have a domestic competition. 2 actually. But it was mostly expats for this game and it's not surprising they beat the Russians who seem to be stagnating.

For the record this was the team that turned out for this game:

Anthony Minichiello ©, Christophe Calegari, Dom Nasso, Matt Parrata, Josh Mantellato, Ben Falcone, Ryan Ghietti, Alex Ranieri, Ray Nasso, Ryan Tramonte, Cameron Ciraldo, Joel Riethmuller, Rob Quitadamo. Subs: Dean Vicelich, Cederic Prizzon, Matthew Sands, Rhys Lennarduzzi

Top 2 were World Cup qualifiers I believe

Yep the top 2 were WC qualifiers, they are having a Tri-Nations thing going on with Jamaica.

Poor Russia, just got rolled.

Not sure what the local/expat proportions are for Lebanon (seems to be quite a few Aussies in that lineup)but Serbia seem to be all locals.

Some of the England Knights should defo be in the first team. But they won't get a look in whilst existing old heads are still around, and the coach looks overseas to fill his dressing room! Kris Welham and Scott Taylor(Hull KR), Josh Charnley (Wigan) and Danny Houghton (Hull FC) should defo (on form) be in the squad. The Knights is about blooding youngsters and is a good concept, but only if used as a ladder for the players to go on to full international honours, not to keep them behind old timers who are past it like Sinfield, Peacock and Morley, or players that are very average (James Graham, Ryan Bailey, Carl Ablett, Jones-Bishop,Jones-Buchanan etc) or non english born players.

Lebanon 36 Russia 0

Later this weekend:
Wales v Ireland
USA v Jamaica

Fiji beat PNG yesterday 26-12\. Good result for Fiji but a tad disappointing for the Kumuls. Not sure about how many NRL players turned out. I know PNG had one, don't know about Fiji.
Also France beat Scotland pretty easily. Over 10,000 for that one.

All the 4 nations games are on Foxtel. A lot of the other games you can pick up on internet feeds.

Over the weekend:

PNG 26 Fiji 0
France beat Ireland 34-14 (or something like that)
