Simona ahead of Paul Whatuira? i think not. Simona is a talent, but not deserving to be mentioned in any kind of greatest WT's team at this stage. Hell id even have John Wilson ahead of Simona. The most under rated player to ever pull on a WT's jersey

The side pretty much picks itself for mine. Only weak position is the centres. We have never had a Renouf, Meninga, Hodges type dominating world class centre. We have had solid players but not greats in this position.

His good contribution is forgotton, due to the obvious issues.

Finished his time with WT on a bad (and somewhat unhygeinic) note but he was a fantastic player for us. Made more hit-ups and metres up the middle of the ruck than our forwards nearly every week.

Probably because his last few seasons with us were pretty ordinary. If we had 8 players on the bench in this side he would be there alongside Galloway, Stimson, Laffranchi, Halatau, Tyran Smith, Jason Lowrie etc….all good players but there isn't enough room for them all.

Fullback - Brett Hodgson - No other competition
Wingers - Pat Richards and TNT - Beau seriously just misses out he was awesome for us
Centres - Chris Lawrence and Paul Whatuira - Kevin Mcguinness (50 games, 30 tries) just missed out and I almost went the other way
Five Eight - Benji - No competition put it this way the next option was either Fitzy or John Simon
Half Back - Scott Prince - No one got close but other options were Rob Lui (42 games) , Lincoln Withers (31 games, 12 tries) and probably the 2nd best player in our HBs Craig Field
Lock -Chris H- This was a toss up between 2 with Chris Hieghinton and Benny Galea but Chrissy wins just due to pur committment over the years. Liam was also a chance but perhaps a better 2nd rower
2nd ROw - Gareth Ellis and Liam Fulton. Buckets O'Neill was a warrior but just lost out as did Benny G again
Prop - Given how many issues we have had over the years we have actually had some great props - Keith G, B Gibbs, A Laffranchi, T Payten, C Pearson, J Skandalis, S Walker and A Woods - I had to go for Skando and Bryce
Hooker - Farah , Senter worked hard but Robbie is the man

Special mention on the Bench to Bronson Harrisson and Dene Halatau who played more bench games then any other tigers

Heino as loyal a servant he was, didnt quite have the class of some of the opther back rowers we have had, hence not making the best of side.

IN 15 years, we are yet to fill a side with champions which is a little disappointing. You'd think in that time we'd have a stand out rep player in most spots or at least a bloke who was unlucky to have repped.

Most guys in our best of side are a quality players but not stars…
