Our ambition for the rest of the season and beyond?

Win more games than we lose? Don't get the wooden spoon? Blood new players? Whichever way you look at it, keeping the motivation in the joint must be a challenge in itself, particularly when we also have a club that "generally" doesn't seem to come out and voice an opinion (or dare I say it a vision) for the future. This lack of transparency , in my opinion, has over the years translated into a lack of engagement by us fans. Like it or not, we have a voice, and WT management must know how to react to our messages, online or offline, even when they are critical. This connection has been missing for some years now, and is particularly worrying when the club's action do not attract a younger fan base and disillusions those of a more "vintage" era. Sport produces many emotions – exhilaration, disappointment, anger, fear, pride, and shame. If a player plays badly, they might (and I stress might) feel ashamed of their poor performance. But it is not only players who feel shame. Sports fans also feel shame about their club’s poor performance. But this shouldn't be the only common bond.

It has to be experimentation within this squad.
Receiving the spoon seems inevitable now. No use crying about it, decisions made and circumstances encountered over the past 3 years have all led to this outcome. We need to accept it and try and find some sunshine in the gloom. If we manage to unearth some hidden talent within our ranks, then that gives us something to take into next year.

Unearth some talent ripe for the chooks and Melbourne to pick off.

Philosophical..but limiting, no?
I’m a believer that this club is so far gone that the only way it’ll ever be turned around is if a millionaire drops from the sky and invests millions into the club. Similar to Souths in the early 2000’s when Rusty came along. Souths would still be in the same position now if it wasn’t for him. We’ve had 3 finals appearances since 2000, and only 8 in my life time when you combine WT’s, Balmain and the Magpies. That sort of failure is going to require some major changes. And changes I can’t see coming anytime soon. We don’t have any famous Hollywood actor supporters. Let’s hope Kyle Lovett can make it big. Though based on his first outing as an actor, my hopes aren’t very high.

Something tells me we haven’t yet seen the fallout from the coach sacking. I think we need to deal with this first before we can identify individual and team goals.
I imagine there would be a degree of uncertainty that needs to be addressed?

We have a billionaire supporter, but what is he waiting for? Organisational restructuring? Was he Benny’s financier?

Who’s believing in him? I’m saying he’s clever not to entertain the idea.
I think he’s just a tight arse personally. If you invest enough, you will turn things around. Souths are proof. It’s probably forgotten just how bad Souths were in the early 00’s. Arguably worse than us if you can believe it. So it can be done. Harry cbf though.

Us chasing Ciraldo shows that we are throwing a Hail Mary. We’re void of ideas to the extent that we need to headhunt from a successful club so that we can copy their model, and maybe snatch a few of their young future stars. I still recall Sheens’ parting words.. the club has decided to buy in existing talent rather than develop it.

at the moment. Just win a game.

Hopefully carefully blood a few juniors to start getting them ready for the next couple of years.

Maybe one day we will sign a coach but I can see us coming up empty handed here.
