Last night reminded me of that game against the Cowboys at Ctown in 2015. Most boring game I have ever watched live. I think it was 4-2 for most of the game till the Cows scored a late try and won 10-2. At least last night we had an excuse. It was in the midst of Taylorball and we were under instructions to play like that. We played like we did last night because we just plain suck.

Watching the presser you wouldn’t believe they were talking about the same game.
We had luck yes we were damn lucky we didn’t play one of the stronger teams because they would have smashed us. It is just frustrating, that was the most boring game of the season so far and it is being talked up as a massive improvement and I just don’t see it. It feels like if we beat an under 8 team they would claim it as a massive improvement.

I thought the same. They talked as if the Tigers played great and we were just unlucky. We were horrible, titans were shocking as well. We’re we less horrible for most of the game but that does not detract from the fact we stunk, yet they were all talking as I’d it was a great game we just missed out on. Like all our close losses, we did everything in our power to lose.

The Titans always get a pass - they are all terrified of upsetting Gordy. They have a very talented roster and we were only ever going to beat them by making it ugly - which was exactly what we did. Absorbed the 10 minutes with 12 men defended our way into the match and got beat by the goal post getting in the way.

Is anyone watching the sharks game now , if I was Madge I would study this match all weekend and try and get our team to at least try and implement there attacking play , very little up the middle but play straight and go wide with pace and players standing deep and hitting the line . And yes it takes the half’s to play out there s system but it comes from the COACH and how he wants them to play , MADGE do ur self a favour lock ur self away and watch the sharks attack then go and drill it into the tigers this week next the following week and every other week

If it was that easy to get a bunch of ordinary players to lift by watching better players than all coaches would be successful. I can guarantee the coach puts more time and effort into his work than 99% of our players - and that is why good players go to clubs with players that are like minded and own their performances good and bad.

That’s rubbish , I have coached kids , who know nothing about plays but after 4-5 weeks they got it , I have done the same with a - grade teams so if they can do it so can the dumb tigers , but only if the coach puts the effort in which I doubt he’s doing

Respectfully kids learning the game are alot different to a team of players that have reached their ceiling and or don't have the speed, mental strength, quality around them to take them to the next level. When your opposition has bigger, faster, smarter, more skillful players more often than not, you are not going to be able execute how you would like because they don't allow you to. In any competition there are good sides and poor sides we are at the poor end of the competition and train as you might, if your opposition is superior the results rarely fall in your favour - despite anything a coach might try to implement from watching a superior squad.

When your opposition has bigger, faster, smarter, more skillful players more often than not, you are not going to be able execute how you would like because they don't allow you to. In any competition there are good sides and poor sides we are at the poor end of the competition and train as you might, if your opposition is superior the results rarely fall in your favour - despite anything a coach might try to implement from watching a superior squad.

No excuse for poor slow passes not hitting the mark though.
