We're due

A bit off topic: Does anybody know how bad our record got against Parramatta when they were a real bogey side for us?

You could say we are due to beat the Rorters, although the WT have a habit of playing teams into form which is a bit of a worry.Totally agree Benji and Widdop's kicking game limited RTS time and space with the ball which restricted the Rorters primary platform of attack.

We lost 8 games straight against Parra between 2005 and 2008\. (I was always grateful for the Cowboys knocking them out in 2005!)

By the end of that run, we had played them 18 times for 4 wins and 1 draw (so a win % of 25%). Since then, we have won 9 out of 12, giving an overall win % of 45%.

Thanks for that Juro, geeze that was a bad bogey, seems like it has reversed now.
I sometimes wonder as well what would have happened if they had beaten the Cowboys. A Parra friend of mine always blamed John Morris for costing them that game.

I hate these pricks. The drought ends this weekend!

maintain the rage (another week) the rep games are on this weekend. still 10 days to go.
too long. would have been good for us to go into the Roosters game with that momentum and game plan from the dogs game. instead most of our team goes aways on rep duties, then comes back and tries to regroup for a friday night game.

we better beat them… sick of losing to them.

pierre, wasnt that the game with ryan at fullback and we lost in the dying seconds?

Nope that game you're thinking about is round 8 2010 at Campbelltown, we were up 8-0 at one stage & lost 12-8 in the last 5 mins

Ugh, forgot about that!

Sheezus he must have had a bludger of a game that arvo- they got belted 29 nil! Then again it was in the days before Johnny Cronk became part of the scientist lab-rat crew at Sharks.

Hindmarsh was returning from injury and they decided to rest him in preparation for the GF. That sort of arrorgance deserves to get crushed 29 - 0 in a Prelim.

Big hard fast pack usually brings us undone. We will be competitive but I doubt we will win. I still think our defense is a issue against big mobile forward packs but it is getting better[/quote

Yes, it's not so much which team it is that's our problem , But as you said, the type of team it is
Teams with big fast ( and hard) forwards who are prepared to run onto the ball hard and can keep it us, usually wear us down.
But there's been some times this year when we have withstood long stretches on our line , I hope we can do that next weeks cause they will be coming at us all day

If our blokes can beat the rorters then that will be an indication to me that their progress is going better than expected.

2007 game we got screwed when Rowdy got penalized for taking someone out facing the other direction

I hope we win , but the Roosters won't hand this game over on a plate like the Dogs did

We will have to outplay them for the entire 80 both in attack and defence

Beau dropped the bomb that Braith put up and was taken out by Anasta in the following scramble

No wonder we signed Braith , he beat us with some buzzer beaters over the years

Don't forget, JT has inside knowledge of how these guys play.

We are also playing a different brand of football this year, so provided we hold onto the ball, I'm confident we'll at least have our chances to win the game. Whether we take them is another matter.
