This is supposed to be professional sport. I get the bloke is a nice guy, once was a world beater with representative honors in his future, but unfortunately thats all behind him now due to a cruel injury. He is now slow, injury prone, and last season all but proved he either couldnt adjust his defensive reads to suit his physical changes, or otherwise just plain old couldnt read the game defensively as he continuously hung out his wingers.
We cannot expect results if we consistantly hand out starting spots based on long service brownie points.

anyway, in relation to the question, i think yes, we ARE short of centres at the club, but do hope nofoaluma can make the transition to partner simona there. failing that, i agree that paterson did surprisingly well there, although i have to admit i havent got a clue who the centres were for the titans...

i really hope so phyr3\. another hammy right now was really not what he needed though; he is treading a very fine line to being "injury prone". he is still only young but it has been way too long since he was consistently playing and consistently playing well.

Yeah I like that idea, imagine the speed! As others have mentioned, Paterson was a revelation in the centres yesterday (I never saw that coming) and then there is Thompson or even young Brown. It would be good to have Simona back sooner rather than later, but I still think we have some reasonably strong options in the meantime.

I've seen nothing in the last two games that inspires me about Lulia. I'll give him benefit of the doubt but I'd be playing Simona and Lawrence in the centres when both are fit. If Koroibete picks up his defensive game it would be Simona and Nofo in the middle with Marika on the right.

Just so long as Thompson doesn't get a start in the centres we will be right,I have Simona,Lawrence,Nofo,Richards,Brown,Lulia and even Patterson ahead of him for a centre spot.
