Our worst ever wests side

Agree Geo,
On that basis a lot of players moving to second tier salaries or overseas from WT next year.

Could someone provide the list of people that are believed to not be in ICs plans next year and are still playing first grade this year?
My understanding is everyone besides Kyle Lovett and Kev who mind you couldn't try any harder if they tried all have a contact or option for next year?
Besides Woods, Teddy, Ava that is.
Am I wrong?

Here are the players I think are not in plans for WT next year:
Kevin Naiqama
Matt Ballin
Jamal Idris
Kyle Lovett
Tim Grant (doubtful)
Jack Littlejohn (doubtful)

Guys that have already left in spirit: (signed elsewhere)
Ava Seumanafagai
Mitchell Moses
Aaron Woods
James Tedesco
Curtis Sironen
Robbie Farah
Jordan Rankin
Tim Simona

Personally I'm hoping we re-sign (and I think we're safe to):
Elijah Taylor (who already has a 1yr option)
Matt Eisenhuth (who probably will after playing his debut last week)

Ok then, my point being is people are blaming the titans loss on a lack of motivation because players aren't seen as part of the squad next year.
From what you've mentioned above the 17 that took the field Friday night contained 4 of those players.
Kev - still trying his guts out but just isn't up there.
Lovett - same as above.
Eisenhoth - just got a start and looks promising.
ET - weighing up his future to be at Tigers or back in NZ but still tearing the house down on the field.

I'm loving it. The Dragons keep falling and falling. Imposters.

Whoopsy 😱pen_mouth:

Yeah, went off early, but i stand by what i said. They'll struggle to stay in the 8.

Why do you hate them so much?. They appear a good hardworking and honest footy side

Yeah, we'd do well to take a leaf out of their book for next year, sans the mid year slump of course.

the tigers look slow and uninspired.
they try hard,no doubt ,but lack any creativity in the halves.
the team relies on a second man play which involves those giants of nofa, kevvie ,lolly or chee kam running at the defence.
other teams must shudder in their boots.
newwie will win easily with this lame attack.
hopefully the coach can create something different with the talent at his disposal.

The hard thing to believe is that we have spent our entire cap on putting this side together. Given we are paying Siro's & Farahs salary to play elsewhere, but its still unbelievable that this current side of mostly Reserve grade players was the best that this club could come up with over the last 4-5 years of planning.

Quite frankly its just laughable. You can't really blame the players because they are mostly Reserve grade standard….they are trying but they are just not good enough. Its no wonder Ivan has just decided to clean out the club and start again with mass signings.

There are many people pointing fingers that its Management's fault that we are in the position we are in. That might be so, the club put its faith in the big 4 only to find the big 4 were not interested in sticking around. I think Ivan saw this from the 1st day he got here and decided to bring the pain forward by putting a deadline on them....on or off the bus, I don't think IC cared as long as the circus came to an end.

I think the majority of players know they are not part of the clubs plans moving forward and that has now started to reflect in the performances.........its a tough time, players prob are not that happy hence performances are under par. There's not much you can do when the new coach signs 10-12 new players.....and nobody's offering the majority of current players extensions...the writings on the wall.

Its just a pity as WT supporters that the pain never seems to end.

Cleary may turn out to be a great coach. We'll know this time next year. So reserving judgement until then. But I don't believe for a second that he was instrumental in getting rid of Moses, Woods and Tedesco. They were going regardless of what Cleary said or did.

I agree with most comments. The current roster is quite appalling, no wonder when we have let the following leave for various reasons.
Forwards
Fifita, Farah, Blair, Sironen, Bodene Thompson, Nathan Brown
Taupau, Gower, Heighington
That pack would steamroll our current pack.
Backs
Moses, Marshall, Ayshford, Austin, Aldo-Carr, Korobeite, Brown
Compare that to what we currently have. We have only 2 genuine stars at the club, Tedesco and Woods.
Oh that's right, they are leaving as well.

With all due respect re your comments.
Our club has been under extreme financial and cap difficulties over last 5 years.
Most players you mention at the time of them leaving were no world beaters.
We banked a lot on 4 juniors which we invested for the future.
And apart of Woods and Teddy (not forgetting latters long absences due to injury) the other two were on most part DUDS.
We offered them over overinflated contracts to stay.
They repaid us in spaids …. not!
As far as the rest ..... well turnover of players is the nature of club football. And yes some get to play better and go on greater things ....... buthindsight is a great thing mate.
But I can recall fans calling for heads of these same players for non-performance, bad defence, discipline issues, lazy trainers, overinflated egos etc. etc. etc.
:deadhorse:

Players leave lots of clubs

Now Zowie you have just put the board into depression. The roster matches the status of the Tigers Club at Rozelle.
