Out of our league - for now

What's your point though? Souths aren't a top tier team.

Again. A top tier team has the ability to win 4 games in a row. From year to year out of twenty something games. Your point was - South's are not a top tier team. I agree.

So let me ask you. If South's are not a top tier team - why are they favourites? Up the Tigers.

The tigers odds will shorten they won't be a big underdog.

Recreational punters don't have their finger on the pulse like us tiger tragics. We still have everything to prove we performed well against a team that will be competing for the spoon. My prediction is that we'll continue to show improvement and not go backwards. It's a happy squad at the moment, like @Merlot said the boys are playing for eachother. We have plenty of points in us, and there is a question mark on souths halves. Cody isn't the same player he was.

I think I'm being realistic. Parramatta smashed Brisbane in Brisbane last week. Parramatta will not win the comp. Am I being negative. I do though appreciate your pov. In reality - these days - every game for every team is winnable. In reality - the team with the wits between their ears win yet they all have similar skills.

I think I understand what you're getting at. Even if we win against Souths we are not there yet.

I'm not so sure if Penrith and Storm's results are strictly between the ears but also a result of the systems that they play in. Maybe they have the system between the ears and that's your point. Moses is a better origin halfback than Cleary but look who has all the Premierships.

Those sides know how they are going to win games, and not just bash teams that are already desperately out of form or shoot themselves in the foot. Parra is a good example of that.

I absolutely agree that we can't really starting getting carried away until we see at least a 4+ game winning streak. I think I said a similar thing during pre-season predictions. (Also good to avoid our usual 6-7 game doom spiral of defeats) But it looks like we understand the weapons we have in our side a lot better than before and the halves to use them.

We are not there yet but with things as they are we could have this nucleus of this team around for an extra 2, maybe 3 seasons. It's just great to enjoy footy again without feeling like a naive idiot waiting for a bus that's never going to turn up. (it still might not, but it doesn't feel stupid to believe)

UTT - Your prediction - and reality are worlds apart. Unless you are Nostrildumbass. I hear what you are saying. You love your team. We are the same. Just it does not at this point in time corroborate with your argument that we are a top tier team. I will be open to your thoughts over the season - and September/October.

Again - if we win tomorrow it's a win win either way. If we lose - would you agree with me that I'm not a total shit for brains. That we won't be winning the comp this year- but learning how to play again?

Who is saying we are winning the premiership this season? Literally no one. But we'll be competitive and in contention for the 8.

Jury's out on your brains, you wanted to get rid of the coach.

And in the sane breath - I wouldn't sign Trent Robinsin. Are you beginning to understand that the best teams have the best leaders? What does the jury say there?
Our leadership qualities this season has matured to a higher level than the last ten years, things should start to happen now.

Does that mean we reach top 8, well none of us can yank a crystal ball out of the clacker.

You're quietly hoping Souths beat us so you can say "I told you so". Well you may be right but at least I had belief in the team and I know what they're capable of.

I'm with you. I'm quietly hoping we win. And you tell me - AHX - you are fool of shit. That would make me happy. I share your belief. Doesn't mean- it's correct. A belief is an opinion. Otherwise - the word belief is linguistically redundant.
