Dudes,

Lets take today into perspective. Easts were at full strength today. We had over $800,000 worth of talent on the sidelines.

Tuiaki
Ryan
Gibbs
Fulton
Payten

. . . that combined with a coach that has a 32% success rate and what do you expect?

So that's why we lost not the fact that the 17 also highly paid first graders on the field can't tackle.
But it was a hot day so they shouldn't be expected to right.

At least he creates discussion - I have not ever read a single post from you that was in any way offering an opinion. Just sit back and whinge about everyone else's thoughts, without ever offering your own.

it was a good performance early wasn't it. we got a few good ones at the back end. you'd have to be pretty happy with that right?

My thoughts exactly, all T-REXX seems to be good for is sniping from a distance. How about we hear your magical opinions sir. :unamused:

The Roosters aren't at full strength. They are missing a few of their first choice backrowers.

That has nothing to do with the performance we put on yesterday.

Sheens can coah and his team selection wasn't that bad. Personally I think he needs to sort out fullback a.s.a.p. because imo Lui can be our 7 and we have plenty of other options there.

32%, where did you pluck that one from BB, same place you got your percentage in the Sheens Future Safe at Wests Tigers thread that was grossly incorrect in favour of your agenda, you not too good on percentages are you, but hey don’t let the truth get in the way of a good tale, that sounds familiar, you work for the Tele by any chance, oh of course BB, Bec and Buzz, now we see.

looks like we are having the same old problem in 2010 - we can't defend. surely it is mental toughness rather than anything else. we can do it for the first 20, so what changes for the next 40?
It was hot yesterday, but it was for both teams, so no excuse there.

It will be interesting to see who Sheens picks for next weeks game, injuries will force some changes and a couple of young guns may get a decent chance.

Interestingly we have struggled 20 minutes before and 20 minutes after halftime.

What do you guys put this down to?

The bench?

Mental attitude?

For me maybe it is not so much the players it is bad team selections and Sheens playing favourites lets get the guys into there right positions where they can settle down and play good footy trying to turn halfbacks into fullbacks spare my days

There is an element of favorites - Buts thats true of every aspect of life.

Attitude - When you know that you have points it is easier to not want to work hard in D.

I sure dont know how to fix.

All those changes just B4 kick off couldnt have helped..

I've got a quote for Sheensy,

"Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result".

Perhaps its time to start dropping people who aren't performing straight away - not give them time. If they have the right attitude, they'll spend 1 week in reggies and play their arses off and come back into contention for firsts. In regards to our game yesterday, the edge defence was poor, the fullback looked lethargic and didn't want to return the ball. If the kid is carrying an injury, don't play him. I just look at someone like a Brian Smith and granted he hasn't won a comp, but the guy turns out competitive teams year after year. He takes two wingers and moves them to the centre's, he takes a former golden boot winning fullback and plays him and the wing and then he plays a 5/8 Halfback as a fullback. - Results = two great wins to start a season from a team that got the spoon last year.

Sheen's needs to realise that doing the same thing over and over again, will not yeild a different result. I'll put myself out there and say that on yesterday's form (Unless Injured) I won't have Moltz in my team next week. I also wouldn't have Cayless and Moors or Heighno there either. I'd give Mullaney a crack at FB, I'd give Lauzurus a crack at 7 instead of Lui and I'd have A Fafita on the bench.

But again I'm only a street punter - so I guess the coach knows best.

If you always do what you have always done you can always expect the same result.

Now, Sheens seems to not like playing finals football. Otherwise he'd change something…

What is Farah paid? He was a ghost! Lawrence had a very quiet one also - maybe $700k for those two. Apart from KG (inc Ellis but he was injured) the fowards were sub par. None of the highly touted 'grit' was evident at all. I love the tigers but I am worried after leaking so many points - just fear of the same stuff shown over the past 4 years.
