This appointment in itself shows how inept are the people sitting around the board room table ! Not real smart.

The current CEO has failed to achieve most of the strategic goals that were set when he took the reigns.

It's time for the board to bring in a CEO with a footy background rather than marketing.

What is a "footy background"? You mean an old school definition, like an ex-player?

When we signed Pascoe he'd been at Panthers for 3 years, so technically he had a footy background by the time he came to us. Blake Solly from Rabbits used to be a solicitor. Joe Kelly from Roosters worked for Chelsea. Penrith CEO Brian Fletcher is from horse racing. Obviously so is PVL. NRL CEO Andrew Abdo has not previous experience in rugby league at all.
