Packer

Great game tonight and made a noticeable difference to the pack for sure.

The good thing about having Packer back, allowed Esio to return to his home position. This balanced the team! Go Weststigers.

As I said earlier in the week Packer is a huge IN…didn't play a lot of minutes ..but our Pack gets behind him...Lawrence also...

Twal Sue and Chee-Kam were great when Matulino and Packer were off...when they came back on we went up a gear and won the game...

That’s the biggest difference this year I think. Our forward rotation is so good. Let’s hope we have luck with injuries and we keep them on the field.

The hill was getting a little rowdy during his second stint as they kept using him as s decoy.

As stated by others, such a massive asset to the team. He's the grub equivalent of our forwards.

Can't wait for Josh and him in the same team.

I was losing it when he kept being used as a decoy there just wanted to see him charge in.

100% agree on Reynolds and Packer together bringing the energy and leading the team. Both have so much passion and heart.

Never seen a player where the reality is so poorly represented by stats. He is an excellent prop and nearly every hit up or tackle counts.

Packer was good tonight , no coincidence we had our best pack out there either

Huge difference , Whole pack fired , no injuries touch wood

I was in the grandstand today loving his work. I watched every player look to him. When we left the field for half time many forwards walked towards him. It was like watching people check in and enjoy his affirmation. It was clear as daylight the pack follow him. What a legend!

Totally agree. Maybe ask the Bulldogs about their recruitment of a stats prop (and the one they let go and are now paying for at the dragons)

We noticed it too. And when he came back on for his final stint the team lifted.

Heart and Soul of the team. He just oozes leadership. His carries were fantastic and he lifts everyone around him. Our defence in the middle was so much better with him there.

I loved just before being told by refs to pack into the scrum Packer and Taylor were holding up and yelling to our team what i think to look out for. We did seemed geld again tonight. ×uck the doomsday sayers, Our depth will test us? We got two to come in b4 30th june. I think Garner coz i have watched him and think he not only deserves it but has earned it. I think Watson Heleta needs a crack. The guy runs like he is on ice scates. Very natural fluent movement. Must be some reason why we have kept him in the mold for so long.

When he came off after his first stint he looked up at the Latchem Robinson Stand and started to wave his arms to tell us all to make noise. He got a standing ovation for it. I’m just glad he’s the benchmark our young forwards are aspiring to be like, not Woods

You can see the entire team lift when he's in the team, what a stark contrast to our so called captain from last year.
Big Russ leads by example love his passion after the game he was going nuts.

Yep.
Whenever we talk about (C)s I often say the (C) should pick himself, in that its an automatic selection….you either have it or you dont. A new coach should see how team mates respond to the individual...While woods was popular with team mates early, and he did imo lead with his actions with his minutes and motor, his lack of passion & desire late in his term here was evident
