Every time Penrith did something you could hear that annoying Panther sound effect on Kayo/Foxtel. I assume it was being played at the ground. What’s up with that?

It's a Fox Sports sound effect. The cowboys one is probably the most annoying...."Yee-hah"

The knights one is swords clashing, pretty funny

We should have one
Most teams do

All teams do. The most identifiable is the glory glory one for Souths. It’s definitely Fox Sports. I even messaged in Joel and Fletch about the bias of playing Glory Glory at the Storm home ground and they said it’s fox sports, every team has one when they make a big play or score a try.
What is ours though? Is it a roar? Or eye of the Tiger sub beat?

We don’t have one
I’m sure of that

We have a roar

You wouldn't have heard it in the main grandstand anyway. Dodgy audio at the ground, yet again!!!!

Same as at C'town at the last game there. Is it so difficult to do a sound check to make sure mics and speakers are working and in sync??

Attention to detail ....not a strong suit of WT game day staff.

New ground announcer tonight

But the same audio staff. There are three audio staff. I know this because my son is one of them, but he is at the bottom of the chain. The guy that does all the sound/audio at Leichhardt used to be the sound guy for my band. At last weeks game my son was "working the board" as well as on the field assisting the ground announcer. This week my son was just the heavy lifting and got to sit with me to watch the game.

You have all noticed that the was no Panthers sound effect at the game (of course) did you notice anything else missing? There was no sound effect for "6 again" and there was no siren at half or full time!

My son sitting next to me texting his boss "where is the 6 again"....the reponse "we are discussing that now!"

Can’t believe someone down voted you for providing inside information on how the ground announcements work. I appreciated the info.

FWIW I dont think it was his boss' fault, I think it was an equipment fault.

Actually no, this is part of the problem, most of the audio gear has to be brought in. The entire eastern side is contracted gear, the western side is Leichhardt gear , "the house system", its a tricky hybrid.

That’s the Leichhardt problem right there. You just described it perfectly.
