Titans have been linked. Got to feel for the players, they are treated like pawns to an extent. Up and moving to the Gold Coast, or even Newcastle on a day or two's notice is ridiculous.

Don't feel too bad for him, I've heard a number of reports that he's a jerk with a massive ego that treats his teammates like crap. If he does get punted there are a few that won't be sad to see him go.

I've heard the exact opposite, that he's well liked in the dressing room.

Yeah all I can say is he's definitely not well liked by the whole dressing room and given how he's acted towards certain teammates I'd be surprised if he was a popular figure, but who knows.

According to the NRL they are now cap compliant

Well - this gives me more to hope for this year.

Hoping Tigers win each of their remaining games.

Hoping my second favorite team beats Souffs (i.e. whoever is playing them each week).

Hoping my third favorite team beats Parramatta (i.e. whoever is playing them each week).

Gives me more chances to win. Yeah!!!!!

Parramatta board member Geoff Gerard has pointed the finger at some of his fellow directors, accusing them of being misleading at the height of the salary cap scandal.

Chairman Steve Sharp, deputy chairman Tom Issa and director Peter Serrao have been given show-cause notices and provisionally suspended by the NRL after the club was accused of systematic salary cap cheating. While the trio, along with chief executive John Boulous and football operations manager Daniel Anderson, have a month to answer the charges, Gerard said that they deceived the board at several steps along the way.

"All I can say is that obviously with some of the information that has come out, not all of it was shared with the full board," Gerard told Triple M on Saturday. Gerard and fellow board members Tanya Gadiel, Andrew Cordwell and Paul Garrard were not given show cause notices by the NRL and have been tasked with picking up the pieces along with Parramatta Leagues Club chief executive Bevan Paul, who has been appointed group CEO.

The former Parramatta, Manly and Penrith prop said Sharp deserves the right to respond to the NRL's claims. But he says Sharp held back information about the club's salary cap position and the rest of the board was up until last month given assurances that they were cap compliant.

Interesting where it will all end,one of the Parra. Directors is the 'deep throat' that's been feeding the NRL information so i wouldn't want to be in his shoes long term because his name will surely leak out eventually.Co.'s providing false Invoices is no slap on the wrist either if proven, they're criminal charges.

Does anyone have an explanation as to why the official NRL site still has Parra on 12 points and in 5th spot. They have updated all round 10 games to date and have had 2 weeks to adjust Parras position on the table but haven't done so.

Yeah,i think its 'show cause' at the moment, they have a Month to appeal, present new evidence etc before they loose the 12 points in June.
I wouldn't worry i'm sure they'll have room in the cap. for Hayne later in the year with Easts getting a bit paranoid about the close scrutiny if they chase him.

Aren't Parra challenging this and the 5 naughty corner officials , awaiting court time

when are they losing their points?
they're still in the 8 and it's been more than a week….
we'll move up to 11th when they're finally sorted with the points.

This is from the official NRL site :

"The 12 points accumulated while the club is alleged to have been in breach of the 2016 cap will remain on the competition ladder until a final determination on the breach notice is made.

Head of Integrity Nick Weeks said the club had required additional time to respond to the breach notice so a final determination is now likely in mid-June."

Funny how the team running 6th in the comp will be at odds of 250-1 to win the premiership tomorrow

Suck it Parra , suck it hard

Well it seems the Insurance Company …as they do...have knocked back paying out Watmough on the grounds of Pre-existing Injury...

Parramatta will be required to pay out the remaining reported $1.2M of his contract...The NRL in their wisdom have said however it will not come out of Parramatta's salary cap for 2017/8...

Well done NRL...I can see other Clubs very interested in this outcome...

parra cheat, nrl gives them favourable treatment :rant :rant :rant
wonder why NRL is the premier sporting comp in aus :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

Interesting, and yes it contradicts the NRLs actions in relation to this. I think it's clear that they've been very soft in handling this situation.. Parra should be ruined for seasons to come, and yet they're still getting by at the end of this season? They've just re-signed Norman and Wicks too..??

Sounds about right…..if the NRL ever do anything that ISN'T shonky I'll fall off me chair.
What a joke.........yet again.
Wonder if McCracken, Tuiaki, Dwyer and Fulton had their contracts taken out of WT's salary cap when every single one of them was forced to retire prematurely due to injury?
I hope clubs' legal teams absolutely go to town on the NRL over this, little Turdy Greenberg and his slimy cronies will weasel their way out of this yet again you would think.
Farcical, incompetent, untrustworthy, dishonest comp that the NRL has become these days.
