Pirtek Parramatta Eels halfback Chris Sandow will wear the Blue and Gold for the first time this Saturday night against the Wests Tigers at Bluetongue Stadium.

Eels head coach Stephen Kearney has named Sandow and Ben Roberts in the halves, with Esi Tonga another new recruit to make his first appearance in the starting lineup, at centre.

The Eels team for Saturday night's match is below:

1\. Jarryd Hayne
2\. Luke Burt
3\. Ryan Morgan
4\. Esi Tonga
5\. Ken Sio
6\. Ben Roberts
7\. Chris Sandow
8\. Tim Mannah
9\. Matt Keating
10\. Mitchell Allgood
11\. Nathan Hindmarsh
12\. Ben Smith
13\. Justin Horo
14\. Casey McGuire
15\. Taulima Tautai
16\. Fuifui Moimoi
17\. Taniela Lasalo
18\. Cheyse Blair
19\. Joseph Paulo
20\. Justin Poore
23\. Shane Shackleton

Surprised McGuire isnt starting.

Last year he was probably one of their most consistent performers and one of their real danger men.

Backline has the ability to score a lot of points, but could also leak a lot of points, hopefully benji and the boys can exploit this

Garbage team. Forwards to slow. Should lap them. Kearney bereft of ideas. Should ge a 12th to wooden spoon team

Yep so looking at last year they'll probably wipe the table with us sat nite

Lets all just remember whatever happens sat nite, last year they comprehensively beat us at the cambo trial, all their trials were good….but when it mattered in Sept we all know where both teams finished.

Not fussed who comes out on top, but if this was a comp game I'd take the Tigers anyday over that Eels side. as we saw last year though, the Eels took the trial seriously while the Tigers simply treated it as a training run. Would not be surprised if this is the case again and the Tigers look to step it up against the Roosters a week later.

missing Tonga & Maitua … otherwise as strong as they can get .

won't improve much this year unless Kearney can change Sandow into an organising halfback .

once in a while all the passes will stick and they'll rack up a big score but consistency will be their downfall .

They will take it more seriously than us for sure.

Then the Parra Army can get all excited only to be let down when the real stuff starts - its cruel really! :stuck_out_tongue:

I hope Lote isn't being named in the Parramatta side, Drummer lol.

I think your in the wrong thread mate.
