Parramatta may play a home game at Leicchardt Oval

You can't make this stuff up.

AS IF the Eels were not travelling badly enough, NRL officials will today descend on Parramatta Stadium to scrutinise the venue's surface, with the increasing likelihood that Saturday night's clash with Manly may have to be moved to ANZ Stadium or even Leichhardt Oval.

This will solve our home ground dilemma,
Hope like it, they can have.
Unfortunately they will see how poor the facilities are and won't want a bar of it
 
Balmain leave leichhardt oval at end of 94 and move to parramatta stadium for 95/96

And the eels may do the opposite in 2012!!

Does that mean Parra will merge with another team in 4 years? Gold Coast Eels? :laughing:

In all seriousness the surface at Parra is a disgrace, the logical move would be to ANZ as it is closer and has better facilities. Plus there wont be any parking or public transport issues.
I guess that will depend on any AFL and Rugby Union fixtures.
 
Titans theme song say 'we proudly wear the gold and blue' so maybe!!

At one stage in the 90's, balmain tigers (playing in gosford) + easts brisbane tigers + gold coast were proposing a merge to be known as the 'East Coast Tigers'

Imagine if that eventuated…

I don't go for the facilities…I go for the football.

Yes loved the mid week cup….use to go to heaps of those games...was right behind the post when fairfax missed that goal right in front for west to win...i dont remember much of the game just that part.lol
