Parramatta Team...

Madman Edwards on the bench - should be good for half a dozen penalties.

Haha I had the same thoughts.

Funny how I'm not the only one to notice / think this. That bloke is as mad as a cut snake, as loose as they come.

Slimy Fart doesn't normally play so well against strong defences, he relies on gaps and disorder, so hopefully we keep our line like the past week and he takes another zero runs.

Is that ‘the’ Tony Williams on the bench? He kills us every time!

Though in saying that I’m much more comfortable with our forward pack controlling him this year.

Yes it certainly is.

Journeyman.

Unmotivated.

Overweight. (probably)

1 good game a year (always against us)

I honestly think it's the only reason he's been included - having said that, our pack is completely different to the one he used to dominate.

I
I actually cant remember him having a controlled/disciplined game ever.
Even sterling hates him.
Can’t wait for Monday.

This game is a trap for young players.

Many Tigers teams over the years have taken teams lightly at their peril. Make no mistake, this team could be very dangerous. They need to be treated just the same as a previous grand finalist.

Unfortunately, Taylor is still out. He was sadly missed last week and will be again. With approx. forty tackles per game and no one else in our team slows the ruck down like he does. Without him is a big handicap.

Hopefully, we can make it 3 from 4.

I was hoping that this year, with a really smart coach and some seasoned players in the forwards that this would not happen.

Yet last week as soon as I heard Josh Reynolds say (pre-game) that there was a totally different vibe in the dressing room - more energy and upbeat - it immediately worried me. I know they had just come through a couple of tough rounds with fantastic wins and they should be feeling more confident but I just didn't like the sound of things. And I think that showed in our possession, we were very anxious instead of the measured team that we had been. That seemed to turn into errors.

And we definitely were a few per cent down on the previous weeks defensive effort. Whether that was missing Taylor, being down a bit on energy, due to a slightly more relaxed attitude or all three, it would be great for them to take this game as seriously as Rd 1\. A win would be massive for us.

I'm sure we won't… After the attitude and commitment we've seen from the in the past 3 weeks is anything to go by.
Doesn't mean it won't be a tough game and we all know we have plenty of problems

I certainly hope you're right. Hopefully Ivan will get them in the right space and they treat the Eels with the same respect as Easts and Melbourne.

My biggest concern is how we are going to cope with a less structured side

We have played arguably the 3 most structured sides in the NRL attackwise

Moses and Norman will play what they see first and foremost

Moses and Norman will see a brick wall.

Followed by stars.

massive game for both clubs.

make no mistake this could get nasty for us as points have been very hard to find so far this sesason.

Parra are under pressure

I don't understand..WT points for 27..Parra 18 in 2018

They have scored 1 try in 4 halves of football…and conceded 92 points..

Are they attacking any better than us....Can anyone explain that please..?

We are certainly defending better than them

There’s to much panic going on in this forum.
We’re 2-1 and have the best D in the game.
They are 0-3 and have the worst D in the game.
And people are freakin out.
Also they’re missing a third of their first grade team.
That should not be worrying us people.
Geez lads have some faith in the team.

There's more negativity in this thread than any thread in the last 3 years

Has the last 3 weeks been a dream?

If we show up with the same attitude, we should account for the eels, it's that simple. I'd love to see our execution improve though.

I feel as if as Tigers fans we're accustom to the whole being disappointed after stringing a few wins together, like seriously when was the last time we had like a 4-5 game winning streak? What 2011?

But I feel a new attitude around the club and don't think we should be worrying about winning games we should win, I'm nervous for the pure reason that I think Parra will display a gusty performance nothing to do with the Tigers ability….

Being The Favourite should give the lads confidence.
They finished 4th last year let’s not forget.
And within the first 3 weeks we have become favourites over them.
I feel the team will gel a little better and a few more opportunities will open up for us this weekend.
Rochow or Brooks for MOTM.

Maybe the club needs to recruite someone to help change the culture within the fan base.

I am nervous about this game where I probably shouldn't be. We have played 3 great games against teams who are strong. This week we face parra who have had a bad start and don't look like bouncing back and I'm more nervous about this game than I was the previous 3.

We are a product of our environment. By the end of this year I'm hoping I'm cured.

I can definitely see where this nervousness comes from , given our history. However if we play the style of game we have been playing , it’s not going to be a football exhibition but it will be too much for Parra to handle.
Our scramble has been next level. Against the Broncos we had 40 missed tackles yet the Bronco had 2 line breaks. Work that out? We had so many bodies around the ball.

Easy there were 38 where a player simply dropped off in the tackle but was well contained by the defenvce thus constituting a miss tackle stat and 2 where they got through the line yet again covered by scramble..

stats he gotta love em..

Yep we generally get up for big games (Cowboys at Leichhardt last season - do well against Melbourne, etc) and generally are disappointing in winnable games. This season has a very different feel about it though. I don't think they will be taking any team lightly.
