Pascoe

Wow, you wouldn’t be suggesting I’m grubby mate, never dragged this holiday into the matter.

The entire topic of conversation in fact has been respectful, for the most part. Some light hearted humour around persistent failures from our top brass.

Don’t make straw man arguments, nobody would or is begrudging him family time.

He can be at home all year for all I care?
Wow you have a different perspective to respect and light hearted humour to mine. There a some posters on here would have the guy hanging from the flagpole at WA.

For however long - I’ve been reading here Pascoe needs to keep his head out of the football…
Now it doesn’t fit with the narrative of senseless bashing on him - he’s supposed to be back around football…

For 100 years - they say a fish rots from the head - or winning starts in the front office… we get the front office on the up, and all of a sudden - on field results are more important than getting the front office right.
Rome wasn’t built in a day…

I am with reality - something that I’d like to see a little more often round these parts.
I agree - some people need to reign it in a bit - their obsession with Pascoe borders on lunacy rather than any constructive criticism.

He's fully sold all our sponsorship for the next 3 years.
Put a manager of Football in place - And been able to afford one.
Overseen 2 of the best signings the club has made in more than a decade
Turned a profit for probably the first time in the clubs existence
Got a state of the art training facility built for the club
(Funny - The old weights room Sheensy had to paint over Christmas has been bagged since I've been here... Now it no longer exists, Everyone is bagging the Brand new state of the Art one that Pascoe built)

Yep - He's made some mistakes... But he's getting a lot right these days as well.
None of the above is bearing fruit - right now...
It's certainly a better position on the money side of the business than we've ever been in before..
Fans aren't used to it, So the automatic reaction is to bag it.

We've tried all the other ways to have sustained success, It hasn't worked....
(Not only since WT's in 2000 - What about all the years of failure prior to the JV)
How about we give this one a go?

There is a lot of lunacy on here atm. People mind reading board members and knowing the inner workings of the club in detail.

That ain't sane.

What about all the internal discussions the Club is and isn't having trotted out here like it's gospel.

Interesting reading alot of the comments here.

I actually think most don't really care that he takes holidays, it's just the timing of him taking it right now given we are about to break Wests Tigers records for all the wrong reasons is what the most people have an issue with.

If we had won our 1st 5 games no one cares about his holiday, but we haven't so the perception is he is letting the Wests Tigers down & isn't deserved one.

It's like Scomo taking a holiday during the bushfire crisis, the perception it creates is the leaders don't care regardless of what impact that leader actually has on the outcome or effort.
Good Post,

I think that people will complain regardless.

Winning fixes everything...

If Pascoe oversaw the signings of Papalii and Korosau, did he oversee the players we have lost? I.e papenhauzen, Teddy, Moses, JAC etc

I don’t know how all the recruitment works tbh. But I feel like we lost more than we gain

Zzzzzzz
It's not like the club's financials are imploding, there are actually several employed people in place that are supposed to be taking care of the football side of things... and he's only a phone call away.

A family holiday that's already been cancelled a couple of times apparently, and perhaps the wrath of the boss at home is worse than a few fans giving him another gobfull.

If something big and bad happens while he's away and he doesn't react yes that would be a different story but right now it's not something I'm going to get worked up about!

Since we are not playing till Monday, I would have taken the team away from the noise and go into lockdown at one of those beach training facilities like the one at Lennox Heads.
Have half the day playing touch football/semi contact in the sand which would be bonding and a good way to get the body moving.
Then end up having a BBQ lunch and beers where all the leaders shut up and let the indians get gripes off their chest.
Re-establish commitment and trust.
It's gonna look crap in the media but it can't get any worse than it is now.
I think that's what needed.
When a racehourses is running crap you can either give it a long spell or a short one. We need a short one.
Bond together and reset.
Get away from all this negativity.
Against the Sharks we lacked trust, commitment, execution and enthusiasm.
Getting away could work, especially if photos and vids show us really putting in.

When exactly would a CEO be part of any such adventures...
Never.

Don't buy in Cobar - Youre better than that.
