Pascoe

For however long - I’ve been reading here Pascoe needs to keep his head out of the football…
Now it doesn’t fit with the narrative of senseless bashing on him - he’s supposed to be back around football…

For 100 years - they say a fish rots from the head - or winning starts in the front office… we get the front office on the up, and all of a sudden - on field results are more important than getting the front office right.
Rome wasn’t built in a day…

I am with reality - something that I’d like to see a little more often round these parts.
So the front office is ok because they said so in their annual report? Right. No evidence we might be in a bit of a pickle as an organisation. Watched Us play rugby league lately? Hear that we wouldn’t pay for our suspended halfback to travel to the Gold Coast? Noticed how the best players just laugh when our club is mentioned as a destination? Seen our demountable digs and players BYO their gym equipment to training. Seen pictures of us training in a car park? Watched our CEO practically beg a sponsor for money on the doco? All evidence suggest we are just battlers no matter how many profit and loss figures you believe.

And no indication from you of when we’ve / it’s ever been any different…

After 23 years - it’s not me that doesn’t understand how it is…

So he needs to get out of the way and bring someone in who can make immediate changes. How long are you giving him. 25-30 years?

I think the common belief from some on here is that the front office of a rugby league club should operate far different from a corporation.
In my opinion since Pascoe joined the Wests Tigers have moved from being a poorly administered football club to being a self sufficient business.
Along with how others feel on this topic.
I would of preferred the focus of the CEO would of been to change a poorly administered football club to a successfully performing football club.
There is no doubt our club has had its share of poor CEOs and board members over the years.
I’d suggest that if Pascoe and his direction was employed in the 2009-2011 years we may of actually managed to continue performing on the field to complement a well performing off field set up.
So there are a few stones being thrown in the wrong direction, but for me. We need football nous in the top job. Or at least be surrounded by those that have it. Tim Sheens and Danny Stapleton can’t do it on their own.

Win games, attract fans, attract sponsors. Make $

lose games, lose fans, lose sponsors, pretend you‘re making money.

I think we all know WT model.

Pascoe, he’s no CEO, can’t even deliver a COE

Here, hold my beer whilst I take a Tinkle P…

This bloody idiot’s up there fishing in the NORTHERN T, when it’s time to go:

You’ve gotta know that Justin just rows up Schitt’s Ck for the fun of it these days,

Madge ran out of sprays and our head honcho is left out in the rain, without his poncho.

J. Pascoe. We won’t soon forget your fiasco;

"Tigers will become a destination club."

————————

So, after failing to specify whatever that location may be, the players took our balls and ran with them, garnering such momentum headed down to rock bottom that we’re guaranteed to bounce twice.

This sacking isn’t a reflection of financial failure (because people keep harping on that nonsense), rather the stale and toxic environment with which he has (and the board plus Lee) found no issue, over nearly 7 years.

Note: I did not say and will not ever blame the man for our shortcomings as a football club. He deserves to be painted for the Farah situation though, and his best mate deciding to roger him and the club at same time!

We’re simply calling quits… that or no business will remain. You can’t just accept 'loser' tags in this sport. Finances don’t remain positive when there’s only negative press out there and no genuine fans left watching our rabble play.

Justin Pascoe, you’ve had your day.

I cant believe this guy being on holidays is an issue for some. The same people who wanted him to have nothing to do with football operations (which they have now managed) are complaining that he is not near football operations. Make up your mind.

Its school holidays, quiet time of the year for ALL NRL CEO's, he has a family, he is damn well entitled to holidays the same as every other worker in this country. Or are we going to start a rule that you cant have holidays if your team loses more than 3 in a row? If it was October and the season had just finished and we are looking to recruit and sign, different story.

Some people, as usual, throw common sense and decency out the window when it comes to peddling their agenda.

Totally agree. If the commercial aspects of the organisation weren’t flying they’d have no money to fund their football department and in particular the pathways programs that should deliver in the coming years. We’d simply not be in existence if the club didn’t generate adequate profit.

Now I know people are going to say the Football dept are going poorly and their correct of course, but you’ve got to start somewhere and it starts with adequate and sustainable funding, hence the earlier post that referenced the clubs P&L. I think we can all agree that we’ve been waiting for an eternity for change but it’s coming. Hang in there a bit longer guys n gals. We’re a resilient bunch so we’re conditioned to hang in 💪

Once again the gullible on here have fallen for the media making a mountain out of a molehill. Isn’t it better for the top brass to stagger there holidays rather than all be off together in the off season. Madge and Sheens can’t take time off mid season so that only leaves Pascoe. COVID has proved you don’t always need to be in the office so maybe he is using the internet and phone to keep abreast of what is happening. As for his fishing in the NT he won’t be as successful as the media down here as they cast out a big bait and have caught hook line and sinker all those who love a good knee jerk reaction.
