Passion - Wests Tigers Heart and Soul

Farah is completely irrelevant - he can't even make the starting 13 at his new club. Not worthy of mention.

The team is going nowhere until the new coach is appointed - the players know there's no accountability as there's no one in charge.
The body language was disgusting today. The game was extremely winnable and yet our lads put their heads down as soon as we went 6-0 down. The entire 'leadership group' should be embarrassed.
I know there's a confidence issue, but the lack of direction is completely absurd.

**And we can only put 6 Points on a Dragons side that were 2nd favourites at the start of the year for the spoon .**
Widdop was toying with us and we are wasting our time and waiting for Moses to sign pfft please , Widdop's Manager needs to be contacted ASAP tell the Dragons they can have Brooks and Moses in exchange but not Naiqama

And we were lucky to get that 6 to be honest.

That said, the Dragons are a lot better than 15th, though I don't think they were anything special today.

We lack a decent playing roster

That's how simple it is

Don't overcomplicate it , and I reckon they realize now they are in for the season from hell

Its gonna get worse this year , you blokes do realize that ??

yup

We having slowly been chipping away at our depth for the past three years and replaced them with busteds or reserve graders.
Woods gets bagged for his leadership skills but he still by far and away is our most impactful forward and it is noticable as soon as he leaves the field.
The players can not be blamed for the positon the club finds itself in although they will carry the brunt of the blame.

Send them on their way and watch them play FG in other stronger clubs like nearly all the other players we have cut -, but then you will still have to find better replacements, and goodluck attracting them.
Cleary may be the step in the right direction we need but I am pretty sure that he will be keen to retain Woods and Teddy and at least one of the halves - and then maybe once that is sorted we will attract some quality forwards and a centre.to strengthen what at the moment is the weakest squad we have had for as long as I can remember.

Good points Telltales. I have been critical of Woods and Moses imparticular. When I say I don't care if they leave it's because of the attitude they have had in these contract talks. Its had a huge impact on our season. I am not doubting their ability as footballers. However they are the leaders of this team and I think they need to be doing better. I know they have a lack of targets and help around them. However I think their own attitudes have played a role in this disastrous first 5 rounds.

Of course their attitudes have played their part, when their comments are basically distancing themselves from the rest of the team, they talk of finals and success elsewhere yet theyre supposed to be the guys the rest look to in times of trouble…

Thats what I am so disappointed in.

People give them the crap roster get out of jail free card. I get there point, but no way do I let them off the hook.

I don't give them that completely. The produce they are putting on the field is embarrassing and the whole contract fiasco around these Big 4 has played a big role in our displays.

When I look at Aaron Woods talk next to James Graham on NRL 360, it's an embarrassment for Wests Tigers to be honest.

One player doesn't define the club.

Sometimes they do.
Jordan did with the bulls
Brady does with New England
Gaze defined Melbourne Tigers
Richo defined Richmond tigers
Cam smith kinda does with storm
Heck even Benji Marshall and the style, attack and unpredictability he brought to losing seasons has since defined us.

At least he tried everything and made losing entertaining.

Of course Happy.

Were a directionless rabble. Thats my point.

Things were meant to be up on the up this year - and we have hit rock bottom. Many fans tipped us to make the finals ( I know you didn't)

I see no way we can avoid the spoon. Some of the things I see on the field is like a side in round 25 not Round 5.

As a fan I'm angry and I think I have a right to be.

Ok I shouldn't be making this about Robbie , but people are having a laugh and a dig at him getting benched for Souths. Yet were a complete joke, worse then we ever have been. We have no leadership or mongrel at all on roof the paddock. Woods is a rubbish captain, showing zero passion.

It's horrible.

Everything you say is correct bar rock bottom

Rock bottom will really set in once we get injuries and we are mathematically out of contention

I reckon we will see 50 put past us at least three more times this season

….and that's being conservative

One player doesn't define the club.

Who does,

Fans.
Without fans you don't have a club.
Fans show more passion than any player. The ones that travel to games rain, hail or shine.
Still support when the players serve up dirt.

I'm sure many fans are near the end of their tether though.

Sad that they got little inspiration from the old boys there.

Woods is a fine player and hopefully will be retained but as Captain must sort his future soon or offer the captaincy to somebody else.

Hard to believe anybody is interested in signing Moses atm.

MB the clubs don't give a bugger what the fans think . They treat us like mushrooms they know their jobs are safe. And only worry about their NRL grants
Fans just keep backing up no matter what BS they're told

Regarding Farah, well Woods has stated that look what happened to Farah and he knows that he could face the same fate and that was one reason why he was delaying in signing. This attitude was predicted by those wanting to keep Farah last year - the long term effect of breaking the contract. Gus is even warning Cleary not to come near the place.

Passion didn't help Farah keep his job so why bother with such a burden. (looked at what happened to J.C.)

I don't dare mistreat the missus because I want to keep her and know that it will only come back at me.

Its an internet thread mate do not dramatise it.

I say we lack characters and leaders. T

Where are they? Who is out there firing us up? Who is barking in the refs ear?

Yeah I might be bitter, but I just want to see senior players out there killing it for the jumper.

These guys are a joke at the minute mate.

Im out there at these games and we look like a complete shambles. I sit smack bang in the middle of the Tigers members today and the fans were very, very disillusioned. The body language was terrible today from the entire team.

Alot of people feel what your saying eddie.
the sad thing is, this is not going to turn around anytime soon.

the club has a week ceo, the board is a mess with the division, the chair has no clue whatso ever and we have had 2 1/2 years of coaching dramas that lead to a person the club heralded as a "THE club legend" unceremoniously dumped.

seriously, how could anyone - any of us - expect anything good to happen.
if this was an ordinary work place do you think people would be happy, putting in…
yeah "professional" yarda yarda yardaaaaaaa...
most of the team are kids.... and the club has shown them first hand what a dysfunctional organization looks like
its not very motivating ! !

then imagine the hit to their ego's.
the so called big 4 have spent their entire junior years as winners.
now.... well.... we all saw the articles this week.
they rightly want to know what the clubs direction is annnnnnd they obviously want to be part of a winning team... a winning club....
what do you think they are feeling when they see Josh Addo-Carr loving life and killing it with the storm....

ivan cleary isnt going to fix this in 1 week.
its going to be a slow build.
at this stage i doubt the club will hold onto tedesco, woods and moses
which lets be honest - might be exactly what this club now needs.

a full strip down and rebuild from top to bottom
it might be the only way to once and for all fix this entire mess !

You know as stupid as this sounds I'd love a few WT's players to throw down if a bit of niggle happened and just go hell for leather

Ok the Cowboys will probably pile on 3-4 tries while they are sitting on the bench , but at least you see some passion

I think expectation is so low at the minute Happy I would be delighted to see that.

How about Woods just belt someone in defence or give the ref a spray.

Or a big punch on and get them involved in a spiteful game that might distract them.

The Cowboys are gong run rings around us. Any sort of passion would be welcome.

I remember one guy starting a big punch up at Leichhardt one day and it spurred the team on but i wont mention him by name !!!

Our blokes though will be making their jeans before their boots.
