That is true @The Chad & Charlie has played well. Just the cynic in me.
Charlie Murray and Bailey Hodges have a lot of similarities as they are both light weight forwards who play tough with plenty of energy and a high work rate.
Both show good line speed when defending and although not damaging ball runners due to their lack of size, they carry the ball at speed and can at times be effective because of it.
I’d say Murray has slightly better ball playing ability if/when used as a first receiver style of 13, however Hodges looks much more efficient when playing dummy half.
I like them both as fringe top 30 players, we possibly have room for someone who can play 13 or 9 in our top 30.
It will be interesting to see if we try and keep them both with Josese Lanyon also emerging.
Lanyon is a bigger body and stronger ball runner, he’s our own version of Siliva Havili. but doesn’t have the work rate or strong defensive work ethic of the other two,

Strong Warriors team named for NSW Cup on Sunday minus Taine Tuaupiki & Tanah Boyd both called up to play NRL.

1. Geronimo Doyle 2. Sio Kali 3. Ali Leiataua 4. Moala Graham-Taufa 6. Luke Hanson 7. Jett Cleary 8. Bunty Afoa 9. Samuel Healey 10. Freddy Lussick 11. Kayliss Fatialofa 12. Eddie Ieremia-Toeava 13. Kalani Going

14. Morgan Harper 15. Jason Seu Salalilo 16. Tobias Crosby 17. Setu Tu

Look forward to seeing May & Makasini up against Leiataua and also how Fatialofa goes against us.

Makasini and May both starting. Interesting! Wonder who stays on the preferred left side and who goes to the right.

That is a very strong side. Curious to see how Jett goes.

Bailey Hodges is a player that everyone of us who watches a lot of our lower grades play unanimously rates, yet he’s seemingly not rated by our coaching staff, what are we all missing ?
No knock on Charlie Murray as he’s been solid all season, but Bailey Hodges is clearly the better player by my estimation.
I also hope Lobb is a late inclusion, he’s played extremely well for 2 straight weeks, very harsh to get demoted after those 2 games.

They may swap them to give both the opportunity on both sides.
Question for you mate. I think it was balmainboy who was pretty outspoken inhis disappointment about our SG Ball and Matts teams this season. I thought they were bog average but an improvement on 2024. As an extension of our development teams, do you think Richo and the club has our Cup and Flegg teams heading in a better direction than 2024 too or this recent run of form is a flash in the pan?

I think he has the teams heading in the right directions. He's made a tough call to change Flegg coach and he's clearly recruited more experienced players for Cup at Payne's request.

I am always surprised how classy Naden is at reserves level, doesn't really matter where they put him, he's above most of the blokes getting about. He seems to have a lot of time, can stand in tackles, basically like he's made for reserve grade.

Then you chuck him in firsts and he gets all agitated and unreliable. Has no time and is full of errors even playing out on the wing.

I never doubt his commitment or willingness, it just always shocks me to see him play reggies with so much composure, like he knows he's at a different level, but he's also half a shoe size short of firsts as well.

Nado needs to play 1.5 Grade.

Does anyone know if Perth will Start a Reggie's team next year it would be smart to get a leg up for 27

you would think Taylan moves to the right given he's the more experienced campaigner. Makasini's near-greatest strength is his ability to draw a defender and flick the ball out of his left hand as well.
Unfortunately common sense doesn't always prevail when it comes to positional changes for our Cup team. Definitely agree that Makasini at left centre is the play here.
