I’m glad someone else has pointed this out…spot on about API’s passes out of DH the last 2 games especially poor…slow looping passes…gives the opposition time to get in our faces….look at TDS his passes are sharp and crisp….
Tds is not consistent at all from dh

Crossland at the Knights is very good...his overall game has improved immensely...kicking well..ferocios defender...and ifn you blink you miss his service at the ptb...very improved

I would have loved to see
Latu , Andrew’s , Lanyon all play reserves rest of year to get loads of form together , they are our future but these injuries just keep coming so it’s not possible , they stay together and I think the magpies could win the reserve comp , they have been getting much better , they make the finals for sure this year , just need them to keep ticking along Roberts back playing is also good , How far is Dunster off a game anyone know

Strange that the parents would be making that call. I hope it’s not another Galvin dad situation.. Jared seems very different person but it’s really a matter between the coach and Jared,, he cannot be the one calling the shots especially at this stage of his career ,, I could understand them saying they are happy and excited to be at the club and that they trust the coaches to know how to develop him and do not expect him to be rushed at their request in a humble way… thing is the kid can really play footy, his skill and guile around the ruck is teriffic,, his one on one defence is the only facet of his game that is needing improvement combine with a bit more strength
He needs time to develop it is not his fault we have issues, we have rushed through to many young players and where has that got us??

Look at Maka as another player rush before he was ready.

Josese Lanyon is an interesting one.
I like many others I was very impressed with him last season playing many strong games for our Wests Tigers Jersey Flegg team.
He showed good physicality, good skill and good ability to keep the opposition guessing if he was looking to ball play or run the ball.
The added bonus was he showed good ability to mix between playing 9 or 13.
So based on all of that he thoroughly deserved his call up to NSW Cup and despite a slowish start to the season where he was mixing time between Ron Massey Cuo and NSW Cup, he started to show signs of what is is capable of and subsequently got called up to make his NRL debut.
However I don’t think he has shown enough this season at NSW Cup level or in his limited NRL game time to be confident his service from dummy half is at the required NRL standard and although he is a solid defender, he is not one who has shown he is capable of making 50 plus tackles per game if required.
So what I am saying is he is ok tobe used as an impact type of player at either 9 or preferably 13, but he is not someone who has proven to be relied on to play big minutes and demonstrate high energy and willingness to make plenty of tackles and still have energy to provide spark in attack.
This is probably the reason we are likely going to see Tristan Hope named at 9 for our NRL team this afternoon and sparks the question, has Lanyon done enough to be considered a better impact option at 9 than Jared Hayward ?
For the record I believe Lanyon is a much better 13 than he is a 9 and we will see his best in that position.

He's been good for a couple of seasons now. Bit flakey when he came into grade & didn't think he had much of a future. Plays real tough.

Sorry but I agree with the parents, for a young kid playing hooker against massive units only ruins their shoulders! They are right to not trust the coaching staff, they’re desperate. We could be ruining makasini development right now. He should be coming through the grades and killing it before being promoted. Maka lacks the confidence he could of gained doing this!
I know bunji was desperate but is it worth it in the long run?? I hope we haven’t stuffed him up.
