Pauga

Thought he went pretty good for it being his first game.
Not sure if Roberts will be available this week?
If so will it be Talau dropped?

Gotta expect a rookie centre to struggle defensively, most experienced centres still struggle defensively

Looked fast and strong in attack. Hopefully gets some room to move soon

Few things to work on defensively but most struggle against staggs let alone a first gamer. Strong with ball in hand. Nice to see him get a try.

Can not play him against Manly.

Who then?

Defensively they will crucify him and us. I'd rather have Mybe then expect him to face that onslaught.

But Turbo will do it anyone you put there, he may as well get that experience?

Not sure putting him up against the best there is when he is not ready will do much for his development or confidence.

He’s playing in the NRL, if he is going to make it, he is going to have to play the best, which is most of the teams, Tommy will be running anywhere he see a hole, not always at him?

Manly will direct all their attack at him after that performance.

Thanks scoop don't you think Madge knows that and will work on something to compensate

Oh yeah that will work - the young bloke will have it all sorted by next week unlike all the other far more experienced players who have been made to look foolish before him.

Coming from Brisbane was probably as nervous as all hell. He showed enough yesterday to show he could make a regular FG

Yes lets change our whole defensive structure to accomodate a 25 year old journeyman who can't tackle who is nothing higher than mediocre in attack

This bloke is better than James Roberts. Simple as that. Don’t drop him, he’s the best thing we’ve got for that position with Talau

That centre pairing would be the worst in the comp.

People said the very same thing about Cini after his debut....hows he going now as a regular fger....

Yep. Turbo will score 7 down his flank. The 2 missed tackles from Pauga in the last 5 mins of the game were very concerning.

If he does there are another 12 players in the team that need to have a good look at themselves I would say Madge cold possibly give AD a roving commission in defence to try and combat Turbo

Time will tell with Pauga.Cini had his own cheer squad which made the debut better than it was he never really impressed in games I've seen him play in reggies and since he hasn't progressed I would say I'm not the only one.

His defence is very concerning. It's not through lack of effort as he puts his body on the line, but doesn't seem to have the strength to stick.

Sure he'll improve, but he was falling off almost every tackle and given our defensive gaps everywhere else, I don't think we can carry him in the side.

I keep reading that yet Staggs was kept incredibly quiet in the game.

I hope he gets another run but he made 8 tackles missed 5 that is concerning

Staggs was quiet because he barely got involved. It's like when teams keep our "speedster" JTJ quiet.

However, watch his try and see how the line break occurred.

It was the guys first 1st grade game. Give the guy a break. The jump from 1sts from reserves is huge. He will definitely be better for the experience and he will grow.

Still looks underdone, hopefully he gets a lot out of his first proper video session. I get the sneaking suspicion he will
