Paul Fletcher says fielding one combined NSW Cup team under the name of Wests Tigers will only benefit the Club in 2013.
Fletcher is the Coach of the new Wests Tigers side that will make its debut in the strong NSW Cup competition this season after being in charge of the Balmain Ryde Eastwood Tigers in previous years.
Under Fletcher, the Tigers made the NSW Cup Grand Final last year from eighth place after surviving three elimination finals.
His assistants in Joe Thomas and Jason Williams bring a wealth of experience as former first grade players. Williams was in charge of the Western Suburbs Magpies last season.
In his first interview on WTV for the season, Fletcher talks about the coaching staff, his work with NRL Head Coach Mick Potter and some of the players he looks set to have at his disposal in 2013.
Some of the players in Fletcher’s squad include Jarred Farlow, Asipeli Fine, Rory Brien, Jy Hitchcox, Dave Harris, Inno Inosesio, Brodie Monroe, Michael Bullock, Josh Davis, Trent Jennings, Sitaleki Akauola, Soni Paasi, Seffa Silafau. Joel Luani was with the group but has been promoted to the NRL squad for the time being.
The Wests Tigers NSW Cup squad will be finalised following the pre-season trials as players like Luani and giant forwards Ava Seumanufagai and Taqele Naiyaravoro look to press for NRL selection under Potter.

Quite a Bulldogs influence among the coaching staff now with Potter, Thomas & Williams….as dislikeable as the Dogs are, they do have a good strong winning culture there and have done for some time
