It’s for the better, this way Moma gets to have a crack at getting a Clive Churchill medal like Paps did.

I'd rather him having a crack at one with the Tigers 🙂

Sure, but we need to look at the bigger picture. Isn’t more important that we are giving a start to some of the best talent in the nrl? Think of the game?

I am thinking of the game. He is a starting centre with a team that made the GF last year. To me, based on his performances this year, he's better than BJ and probably JTJ (atm).

Mikey, if you look back through the posts you’ll find that I, and a few others were unsuccessful in our attempts to convince the bulk of posters that he was our #1 centre. Alas, he now becomes another Teddy, Paps Addo-Carr etc.
Apart from a couple of our forwards we don’t have anyone who can match his aggressive desire to get over the stripe.

You didn't just compare Momirovski to three origin level players ???

He's a solid player and doing a solid job in the best team in the comp, he was never going to play bad there. Getting Laurie early was much better for us in the end, he has more impact to our side than Momers would've

We've got plenty of try scorers in our team, it's all about getting the attack to gel. The try he scored last night was pretty routine

It may have been the only way to get Laurie for 2021? I don’t know? But why wouldn’t Panthers take any of our other centres?
There may also have been other reasons to move on Moma as well? He was an IC signing.

Doubt we give away Talau and doubt Penrith want Joey after his antics against them last year. No chance they want Mbye's salary on their book either

Momers is a clever football player and may help WT out as with his success may open the door for Penrith to release Naden to WT.

Actually thought he was quite passive last night.
Took a nice cross field kick on his own line then passed to staines. Was seriously jogging and as slow as a wet week in support. Staines, Cleary and even Capewell left him for dead.

He is a solid player who is now fortunate enough to play in a star studded team. His role is to be defensively solid, finish tries and get the ball to the superstars.

He can't play that role at the tigers. We need to take a risk on potentially dangerous players as our attack is 💩

Well let's hope not. Now that Reynolds is gone to ESL, he is the new grub of the NRL.

He could be one of those lucky charm players - already been at two clubs that have won premierships and good chance he might jag another.

Pray tell who you rate higher. BJ? JTJ? Both can be great on their day but just like the Bunj there's plenty of rocks amongst them diamonds. Neither has done diddly this year. Talau may step up but looks like he's being groomed for lock.

Hi champ, not trying to be a douche, but Momers was taken by the Storm last year and the Panthers this year, the two best sides in the comp. What are they seeing that we are not?
I saw a bloke that can play and can finish, and a goal kicker too boot. What do you see?

I see a good honest footballer that will do his job for you, I have never said he wasn't a good footballer. He would not be our best centre and the suggestion he would be is very wie of the mark.

A view momers and Doueihi as very similar players and would only have place for one of them in the side. Unfortunately Doueihi is the better player so I agree with letting Momers take up an opportunity elsewhere.

Douehi isn't playing as a centre so not sure he counts. Roberts I agree has potential but atm it isn't being shown (not entirely his fault as he hasn't been given much opportunity.) I like having Laurie but losing Momo was not good.

And you put Momers in our side and he would be getting the same opportunity as Roberts and making less of it. People comparing Roberts and Momers form are not comparing oranges. Roberts is daylight ahead of Momers as a centre.

I can see what you driving at, I agree they are similar, very similar. But AD has the makings of our first grade captain, club captain and handy 5/8 to boot. Momers, a good reliable player, not a great one, a set and forget type, does his job and you don't have to worry what you will be getting from week to week. Would love to have kept him but, not at the expense of Laurie.
Cheers mate and have a happy and safe Easter weekend

Momers was not our best centre and after his performances this year he would still not be our best centre.

Yeah mate exactly he is a good footballer but honestly we don't have that luxury at the moment. We have too many below average or average players to carry someone like Paul. Paul is the player you plug in around superstars to do his job for low cost and allow you to spend on those superstars. See the piece of the equation we are missing and why it was so important to trade him to get Laurie early. Laurie has been our best player this season, without him we look more like the Bulldogs.

Great take. Things were looking dire before Laurie came. It rough to lose Momo, but it's the price we had to pay.
