He was never going to look bad playing for Penrith, doubt he stands out too much either. Does his job that's all you can ask if a player.

Penrith have some class outside backs and you can tell the difference in quality between those players and Momo.

**Our right side has been starved of quality ball all season

They've still scored more tries than the left side though (Critta and To’o). And Momo has Crichton covered in every attacking metric thus far as well.**

^^ Penrith fan said that

But look, nobody cares anymore I get it.

/end thread

I'll state that Crichton didn't look that good. To'o is god like. If we had To'o on our left edge we'd be a much better team.

Didn't want to let Momorovski go but definitely in front by getting Laurie. On a disappointing day he stood up.

Agree Tails.

I am a fan of Momo, I didn't want him to go, but we were in much bigger need of a first grade quality fullback. I would have rather kept Momo and got Laurie but I am not disappointed in the exchange. Laurie has already shown that he has great potential and he's got the attitude to match.

If you have a good outside back and you have an opportunity to swap them for a good fullback, and you're in need of both, you take the fullback every day of the week.

Pretty much agree with what you are saying, but if true, I can't believe we told Momo that he was 3rd or 4th choice centre.

As far as Penrith being too smart to take Joey for a swap instead, you only have to look at some of the big dollar signings that the traitor made while he was here and wonder.

Something fans of clubs like ours never take into account is how the top 4 teams can hide an average player and make him look better.

The storm are doing it right now with Remus Smith and Jennings

Smith or Jennings would be the next BJ at our club and hated by the fans

Momo is an ok player. Bit great not bad, just ok

Well he never gives up
Scored with less than 2 minutes to go
How many tries has he scored now in the Nrl
17 tries from 23 games
What a nuffie
Right place right time

At his scoring rate, he could possibly break Ken Irvine’s record. That would be rubbing salt into the wound? ?
Meanwhile the nuffie he couldn’t unseat is making up the numbers in knock on effect.

I like Laurie but wish we could have kept Mommers.

It’s for the better, this way Moma gets to have a crack at getting a Clive Churchill medal like Paps did.

I'd rather him having a crack at one with the Tigers 🙂

Sure, but we need to look at the bigger picture. Isn’t more important that we are giving a start to some of the best talent in the nrl? Think of the game?

I am thinking of the game. He is a starting centre with a team that made the GF last year. To me, based on his performances this year, he's better than BJ and probably JTJ (atm).

Mikey, if you look back through the posts you’ll find that I, and a few others were unsuccessful in our attempts to convince the bulk of posters that he was our #1 centre. Alas, he now becomes another Teddy, Paps Addo-Carr etc.
Apart from a couple of our forwards we don’t have anyone who can match his aggressive desire to get over the stripe.

Really, he was the only viable option to get Laurie here early. Cleary signed him, so obviously rated him. The only other realistic option was BJ, but who would want to be on the other end of that trade? It’s ridiculous to think he’d be playing for the Magpies if he were here this year.

You didn't just compare Momirovski to three origin level players ???

He's a solid player and doing a solid job in the best team in the comp, he was never going to play bad there. Getting Laurie early was much better for us in the end, he has more impact to our side than Momers would've

We've got plenty of try scorers in our team, it's all about getting the attack to gel. The try he scored last night was pretty routine

It may have been the only way to get Laurie for 2021? I don’t know? But why wouldn’t Panthers take any of our other centres?
There may also have been other reasons to move on Moma as well? He was an IC signing.
