Paul Sironen forcing his son out?

Had big wraps on Siro but tbh it would be best for both parties if he left.

I'm pretty sure he's on big money (based on potential) get rid of him and bring in a marquee 2nd rower who creates momentum throw money at Wade Graham with Gillet rumoured to sign with Sharks, sharkies got a bunch of talent up and coming maybe Sharks wouldn't mind losing Graham.

Let's hope Bayley doesn't turn out to be like Curtis

His had enough years to become a solid 1st Grader if people are going to excuse his had bad luck and has had many injuries ? well then his body is not tough enough for 1st Grade .
It's seriously a joke that his even made the City team .

If it wasn't for his Surname ? he would of never made the Grade .

As for his Father having a sook….suck it up and See Ya later, take our halves while your at it .
Nothing but big hypes the lot of them .

From our so called 'wonder kids' from 3-4 years ago only Woods and Tedesco have proven themselves to be first grade standard…the others have failed kick kick on and match their hype and are over hyped and over paid failures....Sirro for his frame should be killing it...but he clearly has the frame but not the heart.

Curtis Sironen has been a walk up start to this side for years. Weeks, even months out with injury has seen him walk straight into the team.

Last week his dad openly critcises Jason Taylor and Curtis, for the first time ever goes from starting player to left right out. Only an injury to Sue saw him play.

The fact Halatau, Lovett and Aloiai were Taylors preferred options all of a sudden says alot IMO.

This should be Taylor's last game as coach. Problem solved.

If that happened a public holiday would be declared throughout all of Tigerland.

I don't think anyone would lose much sleep if sirro was part of the tigers past players club. ET was so much better today Sirro should be embarrassed or, maybe he's playing at his potential. If he's reached his limits, then may e he should look at a career in the UK. As with our halves our club can't afford to play him. And we certainly can't afford to pay him.

As someone mentioned re Tony Williams, Siro has the size, skillset and work ethic of Dave Taylor. Heard Jamal Idris is looking for NRL comeback, maybe we should look at him as well.

He would probably go better in union than league.
He is painful to watch trotting around pretending to look for the ball.
Dead set statue.

Play him in the centres or back at 6\. I know he is a big boy, but his a bit of a cat that hates doing the hard work.

Although he has little speed for a centre he has great hands to put his winger in the clear and would run over the top of the little guys playing wider. Only issue is the high ball which centres are expected to catch these days… I still think his position is 6 or utility only.

He is totally useless,an imposter, people should stop putting any hope in him turning into some type of useful footballer as they will only be dissappointed.
As for his old man he can not see past his bias for his son and accept that his son just isn't good enough.

And to think Lovett went to centre for a short stint when Simona went off injured reminded me of the Panthers game last year

Think coach Taylor would have learnt from that one.

We look like a poorly coached team. Just poor defensive plays and no plays when we have the ball. I've recognised how bad Taylor has been. You can debate that but you can't debate that with any rationality whatsoever. So far I've said keep him. Now I think he is the no 1 problem with this side.

Agree. Our defensive structure sucks. Very disorganised yesterday and some of the defensive reads were diabolical, no communication and no commitment to work for one another. Our structure in attack is not great either. We only look dangerous when running deep onto the ball and Teddy's speed allows him to create overlaps.

Think with the arrival of ET the writing could be on the wall for him, at least in the short term. If this kick in the bum of being left out of the initial 17 doesn't have an affect surely the time has come to cut him loose. The club seriously starts needing to put their hands up and accept the blame for going all in on these juniors who are starting to prove to everyone that they can't cut it. Go into the market like the Panthers have every yr since 2012, each yr the recruits getting of higher quality and watch us go. It will probably take 5 yrs like it took the Panthers, but we'd be a hell of a lot more competitive in this re-building phase than the one we're in now. The juniors plan is rubbish. Was rubbish from the start.

Good enough to play in the City Country game and play well but can't making the starting 17 for the WTs? That is a hoot. Obviously there is more at play than form.

I kind of compare him with my young bloke Curtis when they were coming through and Bryce is allowed to get out and play a bit of footy.

"To [Panthers coach] Anthony Griffin's credit he lets him use the footy and he can pop up both sides of the ruck. There's an offload if he pulls one out, he just has to be careful with his pass selection.

"But he's got some football in him and it hasn't been coached out of him and that's one good thing."

The problem with Sirro is obvious,it can not be coached into him or coached out of him,he simply plays like his mother rather than his father…!

So true,
Look at the Panthers, their juniors are killing it in the U20's and they're still chasing whoever they need. They obviously know that even with their U20s doing so good this year and in the past that only 2/3 will cut it in the top grade.

According to some stats that Matt Elliot provided a couple of weeks ago, only around 10% of U20s players make to the NRL and most of those only play a handful of games. So if any club relies on its juniors to provide consistent quality NRL players, they are in for massive disappointment! Gee, sounds like a club I follow …..

Yep, have been banging on about this for a few years. Throwing all our eggs into the youth basket is not so much fraught with danger as completely ridiculous. There are no CBA rules limiting rookie contracts or protecting their status (e.g. restricted free agency) so there's literally no benefit to producing your own, as you have to overpay to keep them anyway.
Once you're overpaying for potential across a whole squad, you end up with the garbage we have to watch each week.
