Payto gone?

Im not to concerned about this hes been injured alot for us over the years and we always get by without him we have plenty of depth, I think out of our forwards id rather not Lose Ellis Gibns or Galloway before him

just saw fafita's article again on smh.com about not being in the starting side lol….if this was a comedy someone would open his locker at training and heaps of tennis balls would fall out.

go the tigers!

Hmmm think you missed the 2010 season update

With Payto…16 wins 4 losses
Without...,0 wins 6 losses

He is the glue that binds the pack together....Don't underestimate the impact Payten has...

That right there says it all. Payten is as important as Marshall & Farah to the side's success. His defence around the ruck is rock solid. His work off the ball is brilliant. His ability to read the opposition's second phase play and shut it down is a definite strength along with his clean up work, something that goes unnoticed by many. His experience alone is a devastating blow 😢 If the Tigers backs aren't already against the wall, they surely are now. When it rains Wests, it certainly pours….

Payto is a top player, but in the scheme of things he is replaceable.

Take out Marshall/Farah and we are gone.

Payten is a loss, but we can cover.

this has got me a bit worried actually. alot of people dont see the little but important things that some players do.

I hope if he doesnt play it means that Fifita will start and Murdoch stays on the bench, that would be a sight or even Gibbs into the side and both Fifita and Murdoch on the bench would be awesome. The lift and impact we need

so I guess if he played we would not have been beaten 50-10 by souths

From 2008-2010 The Tigers are 60% winners when Payten plays. And 28% winners when Payten does not play. Keeping in mind he has missed a fair chunk of games in this period, that stat is damning. He is statistically at least even more important then Marshall or Farah. He is statistically the most winning player in the team during this period. His loss is a hammer blow in my opinion. He is that important to our ruck defence and our tip on plays and structure in attack.

I really feel this loss is huge. 0 and 6 without him this year, that says it all. We can still win against the Dragons but it just got a whole lot tougher.

His ruck defence is what we can't replace. It is one of the best in the game. I think Flanangan may come into the 17 and maybe move Ellis or Rhino to prop when Dwyer or Flanangan come on.

Reports say out for the rest of the season. Broken ankle. Better not be as bad as TNTs :frowning:

I am hopeful against the DRagons, but this news is a massive blow. I feel for the guy too. He's no dope when it comes to footy.

I still cant believe it
Someone needs their arse kicked big time

Your not wrong! I cant fathom as to why tennis balls would be left laying around, let alone where the players are warming up.
