JUSTICE!!!!!

After the tigers looked after you for 2 years, you bail out on us for a few dollars more. Karma's a b****.

Enjoy the rehab Peni, I hope the few extra pennies are worth it.

what a sad comment by what could be a sad person. the news is terrible. you dont wish that upon anyone. Keep your chin up Pene because you still have plenty to give.

Im sorry to hear his injured again but think it vindicates us not offering more money.

He had a chance to rehab his injury and get on the field last season but he chose to have surgery instead knowing that he was going to sign with the dragons in the ensuing weeks.

Some of you guys are pretty tough on Peni ! Was a awful thing to happen to him. We have a match tonight and the same thing could happen to any of our boys too, sometimes this can be a season changing event, so keep healthy boys and don't get injured please, and good wishes to Peni in his rehab :exclamation:

Peni's one of the nicest blokes you would ever meet. He didn't dog the WT. Best of luck for the kid and hope he can recover quickly and get back onto the park.

Bad luck for peni

From the outside in - this forum has an in-group and everybody else. The moment someone says something out of grain - all you keyboard hero's want to have a go.

Its called free speech and and all posters are entitled to it.

For the record i don't agree with novacastrians comments, but I recognise his/her right to say whatever they want.

Agreed Ken Y. It was a bad comment and I don't agree with it, there was probably a better way of him getting his point accross. But what you said about this forum society is right, and within reason we should be able to state our opinions.

From what I know of Peni he did nothing wrong when leaving the club. I wish him well.

If he's allowed to post how much he's rejoicing that someone has hurt themselves really seriously and will have to go through surgery, pain and a years rehab then i'm allowed to post that I think it's a pathetic comment.
Freedom of speech cuts both ways.

There are two groups related to this forum. The smart comment group and the dumb comment group. The great thing about this forum is that we are all part of both groups. Everyone here has said something smart and something dumb. We've all been praised and we've all been lambasted for our comments. Some may agree with me and some may not. That's the great thing about human nature, if we all thought along the same lines this world would be a boring place.

For the record Ken Y, if you can name the "in-group" then you're better than me because I have no idea who this "in-group" is.

Having said all that, can we please get back to the topic.

My apologies for the harshness in my comments, I don't wish injuries on any player or human being. Though I was a little miffed that we nursed him through years of injury not to benefit from him on the field.

The sad thing about Peni is that he isn't the first player that this has happened to with the WT and unfortunately he wont be the last.

Some players just cant catch a break, nature of the game I guess.

I hope his persistance pays off and he can have a season on the park for once, but it has to be discouraging for the poor bloke.

hmmm well if the Dragons offered him twice as much money then I don't blame him for going. Also there might be other reasons why he left that we don't know about.

Exactly.

Let's get real. Peni was behind Tuiaki and Ryan in the team and we bought Daniela, Tuqiri and Brown. Wouldn't you leave too? Plus the opportunity to be coached by Wayne Bennett thrown in and It seems more like he made an astute career decision rather than "bail out on us for a few dollars." When you compare this to the Ben Te'o incident it doesn't even register.

IMO that's a pretty poor attitude to take towards the kid. I for one hope he gets well soon and tears it up.

Mate, he was constantly talked up by Sheens and he was definitely heading into first grade. When he left was a dog act, especially after all the injuries he has suffered and the Tigers still choose to keep him on.

That said, I don't think it is fair to call Justice.. I only wish injury upon Thurston and Slater haha

some players have a bad run with injuries.
look at scotty prince early on, leg injuries
benji, shoulder etc.
anthony minichello, back operation/niggles, etc.
best of luck Peni, may you have a good recovery and play well, except against wests-tigers. lol

Scott Prince and Benji Marshall were both on the end of some freak serious injuries that could happen to anyone at any given moment.

Tagive is someone who is just injury prone. His body can't handle the output he tries to make on it and that is why he continues to get injured after every 6 weeks of being fit.

Peni leaving a dog act? Some people here are way too harsh. Sometimes a change of scenery can do wonders for a player, especially one who has been unlucky with injuries. Was Prince leaving the Broncos a dog act?
