Phil Gould Article on Tigers

JT has a short memory, I remember Penrith smashing us with Lovett playing in the centres, scored every try down his side nearly, well he put Lovett in there again against the Saints, bombed a try and let one in so JT doesn't use his brain much I'm sorry to say

our squad is good, but we are still missing one more 2nd rower to bolster our pack.

a good attacker and defender. needs to provide us with momentum and do some dirty metres at times to get out sets rolling, as well as cover our right side defense better so moses/naiqama can trust their inside better.

im thinking a wade graham, tyson frizell tier player. which we can easily afford without farah's 950k

And a centre, particularly one who can tackle.

i think an edge 2nd rower would go a long way to that

also, bulking moses up a few kgs and teaching those outside 3 to communicate properly

Thankfully "Taylorball" appears to be a thing of the past.

Thank god for that. Let's give JT credit for figuring that one out.

It was never a permanent style.

I think you are just giving him the benefit of the doubt. I think he just got it wrong. It's been the standard since he got here.

Eddie we have some strengths in particular areas but we still have issues in the 11 and 12 and centres

Sticks a big whole in your side seeing they work together in left and right third both in defence and attack

Happy - I don't see this at all. We have two gun attacking centres. Simona is fine defensively and I don't think Naiqama is all to blame for the right hand side defence. I also think our backrowers are going great.

We have an issue on the wing and if Robbie doesn't play at dummy half. Those can be fixed if we pick the best team.

Maybe we are short a strike forward to win the comp but that is like picking at trivial issues.

We have a good team.

I would prefer to have Siro or MCK on the bench over Lovett. Especially now that Lawerence is injured.

In my fifty years of watching Sydney footie I never thought I would see the famous Saints play so pathetically. They were like rabble to the previous half century, except for a few exceptions of course. Benji played well, he is one of their few whom should be on contract. I don't give JT much credit for our win - it was a lay down misere almost.

Yeh BBF no credit to JT. Full credit to Paul McGregor. A special thanks to the Dragons team for falling over so successfully to our poorly coached rabble eh BBF? Who do you barrack for again?

Let's see. If he is a good coach he will fix the mistakes that have been made recently. Fix the Robbie issue. Fix the wing issue. Get us firing in the remaining games this season.

Then I reckon we can call him a good coach.

Well, he has fixed points 1 and 3\. Only the wing to sort now. He must be on a 60% success rate anyway. Cheers Steve.

Kev waits too long to slide across in my opinion. Its like he is waiting to help Moses make the tackle if needed.

This is where a good back rower should be to help out with that uncertainty.

I agree that he does that but the quality of the back rower shouldn't matter to him, it's just not his job anyway to cover the inside on a slide. Assuming someone else will make a mistake just guarantees that he does.

As painful as it was to watch, I haven't seen many soft tries against us…usually now it's overlap stuff.

I think "Taylorball" gave us an underbelly when the times are tough

Our scramble is exceptional.

I think Taylorball was terrible. I think our scramble is good though. It's very 05 like. Our team is actually 05 like. We can play some great attacking footy. We have a young team.
