I like Gus. Wish we had him at WT. We'd be in a much better place.
To be fair our big off season buy in the forwards is good for 12mins. We are coming off 3 spoons.

One of the worst comments from Gould was about Bula and that he (Gould) hoped his decision to stay at WTs would not impact his career. Being both a tv commentator with considerable influence and the boss at the Bulldogs is untenable.
All His comments on tv about Galvin just feel like tapping up. Basically we want to sign you...without the final offer
I don't have any issue with him doing his best for his team, more an issue with the NRL letting him. We couldn't have Daley on our books a few years back yet they let Gus commentate on the game, putting the interests of his club ahead of others.

When Gould is simply a Rugby League commentator his views aren't bias
When Gould is involved with a club everything that comes out of his mouth is solely based around getting an advantage for his club

Still remember he claimed Penrith were on top in 2020 when the Storm lead 22-0. All their commentators suck anyway. I was never a fan of Rabs later in his career, the grumpy old man routine wore out pretty quick with me, but they are taking the piss with the guy they replaced him with.

The only thing nine has going for them is fox is just as bad if not worse. Ennis and Cronk are absolutely terrible and I would say marginally worse than the likes of Johns Fittler and Gallan.
You don’t have to be a x super star of the game to be a good commentator, you just have to have a fair moderate view on the game. Stirling, Wally Lewis and even Vautin could make impartial commenus.
