Xmas plans cancelled because my brother in law just tested positive to COVID and we spent a week with them up North. So my second isolation period this month... fun fun fun

Can still do the normal morning thing with my kids, but no extended family.

That sucks. My brother went through that last year so know how it feels

on the central coast for a week... not sure where, but on a lake and with a pool, fishing, swimming and BBQ etc. then low key week back at home get to the beach of the weather is good, NYE at a friends place then a local bar with all the local randoms.

See if you can make it to the Bay Road Brewery. It's just up the road from Gosford train station. Has a great vibe and great beer, brewed on the premises. I have some mates that live at the CC and that's a must go to when we catch up.

The Six Strings brewery which is a few suburbs away has the better beers. A lot of the beers on tap at the Bay Road are from other brewers. I find their beers a bit underwhelming

Don't mind Six Strings also. We did a bus tour that also included Block and Tackle a week ago. Liked all three.

Haven’t got to the Block and Tackle yet but heard good things.

If anyone finds themself in difficulty in the surf at Southport Beach on Xmas day, yell out. I'll be the guy on the rescue board. 👍

Waiting for a baby.

Congrats.
First time?

Thanks mate.

Second and last. Our eldest is six. Got a girl this time so get to experience both. Been an absolute [censored] of a pregnancy, just waiting and crossing our fingers that she holds off until the 30th so the wife can deliver locally and have a water birth.

Hope everything works out 100%.
And remember, behind every great daughter is a truly amazing Wests Tigers Dad.

The young bloke is teetering, I'll get the daughter for us though lol

The first game my son watched us play on tv was against the Roosters. As usual, the toweled us up. Afterward he said, "Dad, I think I might start supporting the Roosters". My reply: "You'll need to find a new home!". Poor bugger was only 5 or 6, but has been a loyal Tigers supporter since. Sometimes tough love is the best love.

Yeah peer pressure is a killer but. My son goes to school with a whole bunch of Panthers fans who are growing about their team while dad sits at home and yells at the Tigers every week on telly.

I tell him that loyalty isn't always an easy path and his mates at school will not always be supporting a winning team. He seems to understand but yeah I think he cops a bit of stick from his mates over it.

Christ my neighbours five year old Panthers supporting grandchild heckled me about the Tigers. "They're not a very good team." Bang on, kiddo!

Hoping to head to Cairns in the morning and through to NYE, but who knows if we'll get there. Had our swabs taken at the 71 hour point prior to scheduled arrival and got my son's negative result at lunchtime today, but still awaiting mine and very anxious about not getting the message in time.

My wife is travelling up on Xmas day, so got hers this morning and fingers crossed for both of us.

Is it 72 hours within time of arrival?

Open presents and then partake in a morning workout before the festivities.

I'll be enjoying a feast with my close family.
Eating all the favourites.

Probably take some small amount of happiness knowing the covid thread is now closed but bitter sweet cos I can no longer read the comedy that gets posted there.

What kind of foods will you eat mate? I’m sure you’ll have amazing culturally diverse food!

Mrs family is sorting it out.
Lots of seafood, i think.

Ima throw together some stuff as well.
It's a massive day of food.

Always stuffed.

That's why I gotta workout before it all ?

I crossed the border into Qld. last Wednesday via the New England Hway en route to Toowoomba.
The only hold up was a friendly talkative policeman who had just taken delivery of the same brand and model of car as mine, except his was the sports model.
I hope all goes well with Your trip.

Yes, no more than 72 hours for your Covid test before you intend to cross into Qld @innsaneink
Also dont forget to apply for your Border Pass to be displayed on the dash of your car so the police can easily see it which helps to speed up the process.

Yes, the scheduled arrival in the case of airlines.

Got my result at 9.20 in the morning for a 11.35 departure, some 67 hours post swab, though plenty of people at the airport were still awaiting results.

Police were doing random checks upon arrival, with at least one small family that we passed being told they would be returned on one of the next flights having not complied. Luck of the draw I suppose, but I was going to travel either way as well and roll the dice had it not come through on time, particularly so because my known negative son had loads more chance of being infected than myself.

Going to start a rough draft of 2022 nrl fantasy and drink a lot of beer. Great to see so many people wanting to get out and do something, once my leg heals I'm out playing golf with my missus and hopefully my kids and grandkids. Wish all you guys and girls of WTF a safe and happy Christmas and new year.

Christmas day is always's a laid back day for us. Don't go anywhere, spend the time with the kids in the pool.
Merry Christmas guys, stay safe.

We are all double vaxed just waiting for our booster, we always wear masks and are very cautious when we go out anywhere.

Have a Merry Christmas stay safe and enjoy your family and friends.

Merry Christmas guys, stay safe.

Stay safe has never meant more for us on the eastern seaboard and especially those in NSW following the ridiculous changes relaxing mandates and restrictions just over a week ago.

You will need to spend plenty of time enjoying the pool with the heatwave over the break in the west and all the best for the season.

Good luck to all those travelling.

I hope you dont have to wait too long for the PCR tests, (the queues in my area are reportedly many hours - some have even been there more than a hour before testing opened and still had to come back the next day).

I hope if you get stuck somewhere, it's not too bad.
