It's a really dumb thing for a grown man to say, if the story is true. He's nearly 29 and apparently thinks 'Squid Game' is edgy and funny. In a city as diverse as Sydney. How sad if so.

It's a confusing story because Tedesaco comes from an Italian background. Many of whom would have migrated to queensland as early as the 1930's and worked with Asians on the canefields.

I’d like to know what made Teddy think Kathy’s sister looked like the sort of person who’d be willing to kill a truckload of people to get herself out of debt?

If this is true, Im a little surprised ... Ive never seen or heard tedesco off camera but he didn't strike me as an indecent person based off his interviews and such. Amongst the hooligans in the nrl I didn't think he would be one too

Agreed however racism is a world problem and found in all societies.Widespread education has always been seen as the best way to fight against racism and to a large extent i would agree with that however with the availabilty of more modern forms of communication i feel it is a 2 edged sword as it is far easier to promote hate/division using the same methods.

This is the bit I 100% believe as I have heard him say it in a social setting before. It’s not said in jest either…moreso in an antagonistic fashion.
I’ve seen him out and about a lot of the past few years and he’s always around other footy players who laugh along with him.

He was not allowed onto the podium as he was a foreigner. All students who achieved this honour were allowed onto the podium except my relative.

Unfortunately that is racism by any and all definitions and completely unacceptable.Commiserations to your relative it would have been a terrible experience for them i hope he/she got support from the rest of the student body and hopefully some of the university heirarchy.
