This confirms what everyone was saying about Mitch "Grub and low life".

Newcastle Knights star Mitchell Pearce's wedding has been cancelled after he allegedly sent racy text messages to a young female club employee.
Pearce was due to be married on Tuesday to partner Kristin Scott in Byron Bay, but a report in the Daily Telegraph, which has been confirmed by The Sydney Morning Herald, revealed the wedding has now been called off.

Club has had a culture problem for a long time. Signing him was never going to help that.

Ask Andrew and Matthew Johns, Danny Buderus, Chief Harragon...they will all tell you the club has a great “family” culture.....all NRL players and clubs live in denial of the real world

Hasn't been called off - been postponed. I'd like to know all the facts before i crucify the guy. Yea it does seem a bit sleazy. But the report mentions covid bubbles but doesn't elaborate. Also says no physical contact entered in to. i think his fiance is being cautious which is fair.

Good on her for upholding her moral values and calling off the wedding......sexting is classified same as promiscuous

Sadly it sounds like the whole thing is being covered up. Time will tell I guess.

Titans star David Fifita has been questioned by Gold Coast police for trespassing a Clear Island Waters property in the early hours of Sunday morning, per The Courier Mail.

Fifita, 20, taken to the Broadbeach police station after being seen trespassing.

While investigations are continuing, Fifita was let go by police following reports of trespassing the property at 8am on Sunday.

The former Broncos second-rower is set to begin his 2021 campaign with the Titans after a switch from Queensland rival Brisbane, where he spent three seasons

The Gold Coast Bulletin reported Fifita was invited to the home but went into the wrong room

Something tells me this won’t be the last we hear of Fifita trouble on the glitter strip. The GC isn’t a good fit for players with his track record. While many are tipping the Titans to do well this year I’m predicting they’ll struggle and miss out on the 8.

And so starts what will be one of the worst value-for-money signings in NRL history IMO. It will rival Hayne's stint for the Titans.

So everyone is judging Mitch for being a pants man , and a lunatic on the turps ? Is that correct ? Would I want a guy like that dating my daughter ? Of course not . But are some of my best mates like that back in the day . Yep ! And many would say I was as bad if not worse.

To me , when you meet the right girl , all that stuff goes out the window , not to mention the desire to party . Some blokes get it at 18 (to me that’s absolutely crazy ), others at 35 , me I got it at 28 . I was hardly young . Geez some blokes and girls get it at 40plus.
If anything my late 20s was the most fertile ground , for that stuff .
It’s a drug that’s hard to give up , and would only be heightened to the max in a place like Newcastle , being the club captain .
It’s not like Jarryd or Jack , who haven’t worked out what the word no means .

Yeah we have all partied hard growing up ...but many of us haven't had numerous issues with women ...I once misread a close friends intentions on the dance floor (back in the lambada days ) after my late Brother's wedding ...and I couldn't apologize enough

Off-contract NRL forward Jamil Hopoate has been charged with assaulting his partner and drink driving on the NSW mid-north coast.

Police were called to a pub on Bay St, Port Macquarie at 8.30pm last night to reports of an alleged assault.

Hopoate is accused of assaulting his partner.
Hopoate is accused of assaulting his partner.
Officers allegedly found Hopoate – the 26-year-old son of son of former Manly and Australian winger, John, and brother to current Bulldogs fullback, Will – driving in a car nearby.

He was arrested and charged with three counts of common assault, two counts of stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm and mid-range drink driving.

Police will allege in court the assault charges relate to an attack on his girlfriend at the pub, where investigators are understood to be obtaining CCTV.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court on January 20.

If convicted, Hopoate faces being permanently rubbed out of rugby league.

Hopoate played 12 NRL games this season – as a lock and second-rower – for the Broncos who ran last. His contract with the club ended this year and it is not known whether he will resign.

He was jailed for one year in 2014 and issued a two-year good behaviour bond following a violent attack on two men outside a Manly pub.

He was subsequently sacked by the Manly Sea Eagles.

Hopoate was also dumped by Parramatta two years earlier after several off field indiscretions including a mid-range drink driving conviction.

He made his NRL debut in March this year.

Earlier this month, Hopoate was linked to Penrith but the Panthers showed little interest.

Hopoate also spent time playing for Redcliffe Dolphins in the local Brisbane
