Thanks Willow, I wasn't able to see the game. Great numbers all round really. Did Chris Lawrence play as well as those numbers suggest? He might make a few of you eat your words yet!

depends…. it was like the number on his back was wrong and he was playing second row.

Yeah, hit the ball up straight and hard like a backrower. He's lost a fair bit of agility and a move 2 in from the sideline might be the go as he's still liable to being beaten on his outside.

Woods did his chances of being chosen in game 3 no harm with another strong effort in tough conditions, and he's well ahead of Tim Grant who dropped the ball cold 3 times in the first half against the Dragons tonight.

Woods got 18 minutes in the first half when qld had 90%of the pill ,then he played the last 8 .woodsy will be the scapegoat for the loss .tammou will waltz straight back into the team

Woods stand out. Good numbers from the backs on some freak tries. Marshall at a meter is funny, but look at the numbers outside him. he didn't play bad (and not saying he played well).

It was a great, enthusiastic, effort from the team an a top win in difficult conditions

Benji's game was hideous. He largely ignored the conditions and cost us hundreds of metres of field position with utterly useless kicks and low percentage passes. The 25 metre pass that hit the toes of the recipient with four minutes to go was but a snapshot of his ineffectiveness. His refusal to run the ball is reflected in the stats. It's time to shop him about

His kicking game in the second half was great. Was one of the few times he's shown he can be a mature playmaker. He kept winding down the clock by kicking to the corners and finding the sideline. Very smart and well executed

I guess you just can't please everyone. I'll take that win, and a comprehensive one at that, against Melbourne in attrocious conditions anyday of the week.

Lots of positives from tonight's game.

For instance those 2 runs by Simona, one to score an 80 meter try and the other 60 meters to then hand off to Benji were strokes of genius and beyond his years in terms of maturity. Very heady plays in both instances.

Isn't it great to have two incredibly talented wingers not being overawed by FG and making every post a winner!

PL

(ps, Hey Willow it'd be great to get an idea of 'minutes played' as well to add context)

Ava will probably get a run tomorrow. Not much on-field time.

Probably worthwhile giving BMM a run too, he only got 20 minutes at the end.

Agree on that one pass, otherwise you are very hard marker.

Hey C.T. Your observations are way off the mark. Benji's kicking game was generally top notch (except for the line drop). He was bending it like Beckham with his long kicks. Communication with Farah obvious during the game. One or two dodgy long passes in the conditions, but an overall good performance. Scored 10 of our 22 points.
