Players in club gear off field

Im sure there is protocol for them to wear something promoting the club or sponsors….hell, there is in u/15s so its a no brainer.
Gotta keep the sponsors happy.....

Club gear is hardly the brand of the organisation like it once was.

Black gear, Orange gear, White gear, you'd think we were three different teams if you went to a home game with different people each wearing one of these.

Pick a colour stick with it, so in a home game we don't look ridiculous in the crowd.

Some "uniforms" of teams this year have been horrendously ugly (mostly away strips I think)

As for the cap, it should've been a field hockey hat.

Seriously is this the best you have????? I think most peoples attitude towards the club on here needs to be addressed as well. I know with positives comes negatives but go do ya winging elsewhere. Seriously do you support these guys or what??

Ok Micko…. first and formost. I was simply pointing out an observation, Not having a whinge as you so eliquently misspelled it. The club as a whole is a brand and an organisation. Club gear would be part of the uniform of that organisation. As a payed employee of said organisation, I thought it would have been there responsability to ensure they wear the uniform correctly everytime they are representing that organisation. Matches, Interviews, Club functions.

As previously stated in a post during this thread, Tahu was seen wearing a full panthers tracksuit out shopping....thus promoting the organisation he is still employed by in a city 250kms away.

Where was the media manager at the time of these interviews. Why didnt he/she step out and say "Hey guys, just pop this cap on for the interview" and hand them a tigers one? The media manager would have known that the media would be attending the pool recovery session, after all, they would have been the one telling the media where the session was.

Which dropped ball is more important to the club, the one 25m out from our own line playing St George in a preliminary final, or the one by the support staff who pisses off a sponsor because they dont feel the club is fully respecting thier financial contrabuition?

If simply things are allowed to slide here and there, how long is it until attention to detail from the players is slipping in bigger areas, such as attention to gameplans and defensive structure. Im not saying that this is the only reason, simply pointing out an observation that could be a symptem of a wider, deeper problem.

Its an opinion mate.... something that I, and everyone else that has registered to this site has the right to express

as for you call as to wether or not i really support this team, my member number is 2160461 for seaon 2011, whats yours?

Dear Bricey,

In no way am I questioning your right to post on here. I am just sick to death of everyone trying to point out all the wrong the players do yet no praise when they do something right. It's bad enough to hear the "BS" going on with OUR club let alone add to the despair. I know I said with positives comes negatives but if we all love the tigers how about we start being positive towards the club which in turn may result in the team being positive on the field. As with my membership, my home doesn't warrant me having one as such due to where I choose to live! BUT my 2 kids are members of Benji's bubs. My son being joined this year the day he was born. Take care mate.

correct spelling for these words would be…....eloquently, contribution, symptom, and season.....if you are going to point out someones bad grammar, at least get your own right.......just sayin'.

Seriously, who cares?
A player was caught wearing clothes from his wardrobe that indicated he's more than mall store clothes dummy wearing daggy "team" wear. We should be applauding.

Comming from a man that can construct a comment without using the F-word!

weather people like it or not, each and every club is in the buisness of trying to find a weakness in the opposition for the next week. By simply not wearing a club product during an interview could be the exact weakness that our opponant is looking for.

I can tell you for a fact that the Melbourne Storm would fine a player for doing exactly what Blake Asheford did on tuesday, because they go to extreme lengths to ensure thier players do not show any sign of weakness to an opponant.

Just putting your hands on your head or on your hips in the in-goal area after a try in melbourne is a $250 fine!

So take the piss if you like…. but dicipline is dicipline.

If you cant PLAY like a first grader......... at least LOOK like one when in the media!

Demps what it proves is that Gibbs is unprofessional and not a good fit for our club, Im for one am glad he is moving on. H**ave a look at the team photo from earlier in the year the only play that didnt pull up his socks.**The guy has no class and we can do so much better on and off the field without him

The Tigers players frequently put their hands on hips in goal post-try. Players should be hooked for that! And the fine should be $2500
