Well I know its early but thought i'd give my thoughts on our guys so far - we all entered this season with questions about how a few players would perform and i think we have learnt a lot in the first 4 weeks which is why i wanted to give my thoughts so early
Ryan - Hodgo was right , he said ryan should be fullback when he left and these last 2 weeks have shown it , given he hasnt trained in the position or played it before in FG at least I have been wowed so many meters solid under the high ball and looking dangerous - If he keeps this up he could press for the country team and who would have said that about Beau b4 the season started I would have said he might push for State Cup
Lote - Could he come back? Would he be as good would he even be here lol, well not only has Lote come, he has been magnificent, great tries, lots of meters , just oozes class and such a smart footballler and still has fantastic speed and strenght and my only worry is we will miss him for those 3 origins
Lawrence - Genuine class player, hits a gap fantastically, defence is better then ever , still warming into the season for mine but just looks like he is a SOO player and many in the media seem to agree
Ayshford - Has been a bit dissapointing so far this season, has work to do but in reality hes only in his second year just needs to improve his defence but with the way the salary cap works they arent all going to be stars and he still shows lots of potential and from what I hear is a really hard worker
Browne - Most didnt think he was up to it and was a wasted signing - but in the last couple of weeks to me he has been solid , makes the right decisions which is essential for a winger and i think he will more then hold his own till TNT is back
Fitzy - whenever we have seen him he has been solid brings experience and intelligence and despite the hatred of some he really is a solid player - the issue that many raise (not me) is weather we need a back on the bench but if you do this bloke is dependable and thats important if you loose one of your stars to injury
Daniella - Saw a little of him in 1st grade and the jury is very much still out but we might see him again next week ???
Marshall - Genius , and more mature and more consistent one of the best if not the best in the comp - owned J Hayne last week
Moltzen - Struggled at fullback but has done the job at halfback not devestating but with marshall on one side and farah the other u arent there to take hold of the game especially after a off season at fullback - has looked injured a lot for mine
Lui - Played solidly until injury but jury is out for when he returns
Well thats our backs so far this year what do you think , might get to the forwards later -sorry if this isnt of interest just thought Id some up the season so far cause ive got a nice relaxing day with nothing else to do other then bask in the glory of yesterdays win
