Players that need to be axed that won't be

Tedesco is suffering from the peeps that call him Slater or Dugan like when he is nowhere near that level. On top of that he simply hasn't set the world on fire. He looks solid but not great at this point. I like him as a player but he needs to do more.

As for Brooks and Moses - time will tell. I want to see them get given a good go but not all juniors turn into great first graders. At the moment they have done nothing in first grade and they are all hype.

I think everyone paying out Tedesco is being pretty harsh. True he hasn't set the world on fire but what do people expect? It's his first season in FG (can't say that last season counts) and he's coming back from a knee reco. On top of that the halves in front of him didn't exactly do much to help the team last night, or for much of the season really. I'm not trying to make excuses for him but you have to be realistic - a player is not going to outshine everyone else or become the next Billy Slater as has been mentioned before after one season.

Unfortunately with all the comparisons to Slater people have had unrealistic expectations of him and since he hasn't lived up to them they've just decided that he's crap and needs to be dropped. Think about it this way: Moltzen's had several years in FG and Tedesco in his one year has already outshone him so really he can't be that bad (and I'm not one of those people who goes out of their way to pay out Moltzen either). People just tend to focus on the negatives and ignore the positives like his defence (yes, sometimes he stuffs up but it could be a lot worse) and ability under the high ball.

Really hoping that with all the comparisons to Andrew John's etc. the same thing doesn't happen with Brooks and Moses but really, I won't be surprised if it does.

Its funny cos the only Tedesco critics are members of the Moltzen fan club. Coincidence?

what about all the teddy lovers talking him up for the last couple of years espescially when he has shown sweet fa.

He blitzed it coming up through the juniors, i don't know how you classify that as ''sweet fa''. By your logic so has Brooks, but you'd never hear that said about Brooks. being the forums golden child and all

Blitzing juniors bud and playing with the big boys is a different story, the kid can't stand on his feet and havent seen him even look like breaking the line, he is only ever going to be average at best.

Like who oh wise one? clearly your opinion is the only one that matters.

Lol don't worry GNR. Leave it to Tedesco to pieface his critics. He will in due time.

It'd be hard being a fullback playing off Benji Marshall. Marshall threw it three feet behind Tedesco what seemed like half a dozen times last night. If Marshall looked where he was passing maybe Tedesco would get the ball on the run and have a chance to do something with it. The only time Tedesco seems to get the ball with any space is off kick returns so I guess most of you expect him to make blistering line breaks off kick returns. I'm pretty chuffed with how close he's actually come to doing that on multiple occasions.

Tedesco does what we need our fullback to do. Gone are the days of Utai, Tuqiri and Moltzen at the back and closing your eyes when a kick is put up because our current back three are handling the high ball as good as any back three in the league. He backs up line breaks, sniffs around the ruck for offloads, chimes in as best he can and is a hell of a one on one tackler. I'm not sure what more he needs to do short of single handedly win us games. Even if he wanted to it's pretty hard to do that when Farah has the same idea.

I think we all know that this season has been a disaster. I think it's time that players who aren't part of our future are dropped. We can't make the finals so we may as well blood the future players. That means no banji, ayshford, utai, lote etc. our only bright spots in a terrible year have been nofu, simona, Ava and sue showing us they are first grade quality. Anasta needs game time, maybe finish the year in nsw cup, get some timing and start fresh next yr. potter was a dally m winning fullback so if he sees something in tedesco, that's good enough for me. Lawrence is going good lately, I think. He has definetly slowed down but still has class. You can't teach that. I'd drop ayshford and get koro back in. Lets blood brooks/ Moses now of the bench and cut back benjis mins

lol thats rich

I'll say it again: when Billy Slater came on the scene he was far from a player worthy of comparison / benchmarking. Fullbacks take time to get there, they all do.

Look , the only play we have for our fullback is the out in play where Farah feeds Marshall and they drop and inside ball to the flying fullback

Seeing we have been using that move since Moses was a boy , teams have read it pretty easily in the last twelve months

I think with a different system , a real halfback and some more confidence with an off season behind him things will get easier for him

As I have said , he does the main things a fullback needs to do well

Many people have mentioned the long sprigs , but they grip a hell of a lot more and would make someone coming back from an ACL injury feel very uncomfortable

Remember when I used to throw the long sprigs on , you always felt like you were going to roll an ankle when you tried to change directions

We will all see a new Wests Tigers in 2014 with Coach Potter.

I agree Spartan , but I think we will be waiting until 2015 until we see some consistency from the boys

We will need to hang tough with the boys and Mick in 2014 and keep the faith

I think that it is about time to stop sugar coating the Wests Tigers. What frustrates me is that Potter got tough with Benji but is too frightened to drop protected players like Lawrence, Tedesco, Anasta and Ayshford. Thts sort of action from Potter is just one of the reasons why Wests Tigers stocks have plummeted so much in 2013\. Another reason is that the CEO refuses to believe that we need **new high quality experienced players now** not in 2015\. We are only one step away from the level of Parra's form during 2012/13\. Roll on to 2014?

Just a couple of questions:-
1\. Who are these new, high quality, experienced players, who are available and you think we should be chasing now?
2\. How do we come up with the money UNDER THE SALARY CAP to pay them?
