Players you think legitimately suck

I would go for Ennis the Menace and Daniel Mortimer (now hooker for next year mortimer), probably would give john morris a shot some where as well.

…and I strongly disagree with Luke Burt - you don't break club records by sucking

I have to disagree with you there, and I'd like to call top try scorer Daniel Fitzhenry to the stand to testify

May as well get you on the stand for fraud jimmy, since Daniel Fitzhenry isn't our top try scorer. Benji Marshall is.

Haha yeah yeah… withdrawn your honor! I concede that Benji has since surpassed him, but he was top try scorer at the time!
Point being - he proved you can both suck and be a top try scorer - like Burt!

touche good sir!

Although I rate Burt, and his loyalty to the eels is almost unsurpassed, I can see why people don't rate him. There isn't a single thing flashy about him, that's for sure.

The reason for me he doesn't suck is he has stood the test of time - when so many more at Parramatta have come and gone, he has tirelessly toiled away without a single representative honour to his name, (I think he's played for City, but that doesn't really count) nor a single premiership. In a game where players like Taumata have been at 7 clubs in 6 years, and still whinge about things, Luke has put up with the ABUNDANCE of mediocrity that Parramatta have been over the past 12 years, and has done it with I feel is a likeable quiet nature, and has never been known to complain about how the place is run, or sledge his fellow teammates. He's a player of true class in todays game of classless hacks - (hence this thread)

Our team has a Luke Burt in it mate, (in a good way) you just don't see it yet - It's Chris Lawrence….

Manly & Bulldogs teams past present and future.

Also Georgie Rose reminds me of the Bookends who used to play for Parra in the 80s or maybe the Big Marn.

You just don't see those sort of guys playing in the fast pace NRL of today.
