Players you'd NEVER want to see sign with your club.

Take Matai in a second but don't like the guy

Kurt Gidley for me ,don't know why just don't like him (Unless he is playing for NSW ,then we are probably guaranteed winning )

x 2 on Ugz.
I mean Gids.
What a head.

Over-rated for some reason because he's so bad.
Utility player that sucks in every position.

They reckon one more season ending injury and he'll retire.
(Campese?)

Hate him.

Most of the names mentioned are quite unlikeable characters, onfield….but they also are very very good footballers.

They go right to the thin red line, often stepping over it...competetiveness, playing hard...its a tough game and youre not their to be liked.

It says a lot about the type of person reqd to make it....not in all cases, but it attracts a certain type most wouldnt invite home to dinner, great to invite into our lounge rooms tho on TV to enjoy this great game.....without all these ''grubs''....itd be a pretty bland spectacle

Perfect post. I want players willing to go to and occasionally dance with the thin red line. Not saying I want any of these guys, but a 'win at all costs' attitude in a game like this is an attribute. Of course balance is hard to find.

It's gotta be Jamie Soward. Just imagine him doing his little chook scratch dance before attempting a conversion kick………in black white and gold. Nup!

I don't like Jamie soward west tigers don't have girls like this guy

Nothing wrong with having a grub or too in your team. The majority of guys mentioned don't really have a bad rep off the field. You need a player with white line fever and who is a bit of a loose cannon. I reckon we have one coming through anyway in Nathan Brown, which is a good thing as long as he behaves himself off the field.

i agree, and i confess it is quite fun to have a sporting grudge; every good entertainment has good guys and bad guys!

there is certainly nothing wrong in my book about being a good tough player; its just that when it comes to the tigers i want to support good tough, FAIR players who show sportsmanship and who my kids can look up to.

I think you're on the money here GNR.
With a bit of luck this kid could be the hardnose we need - and the player supporters of other teams hate coming up against.

How could I forget Jamie Soward. One of my favourite rugby league moments was the wincing look on his face in the 2011 game at Allianz where Lawrence ran right through him to score.

That and the mouth guard throw during the semi in 2011
