Not sure if you guys are aware but there has been a tragic football accident with Newcastle Rugby league player Damian Jobson on the Weekend.
Damian is a 35 year old Father of 3 young kids who has just been informed that he will be a Quadriplegic for the rest of his life.
While playing for Windale on the Weekend in his local Comp he went for a tackle that went horribly wrong and has damaged his C4 and C5, he has no feeling from his shoulders down. After emergency surgery Doctors confirmed the worst possible News to the Family that he will be a Quadriplegic for the rest of his life.

I can't even imagine what the Family must be going through.
All we can do as Rugby league lovers is Unite and give generously if possible, even $5.00 that is equivalent to a coffee.

The site that I have posted underneath has been opened up already just type in Damian Jobson on the search tool Bar….top right hand corner and make a donation if your in a position to do so. The services this young Man will need for the rest of his life are huge and over $18,000 has been raised already and all money goes directly to the Family.

Cheers Forumers.

good club, the Windale Eagles.
will contribute after pay day (tmrw)

Tragic for everyone involved. So, so sad. :frowning:
Will certainly pass this info on to family and friends and will contribute what we can FT.

Up to $23,000 already.
I dare say alot of NRL Clubs will come up with something to help a young Man and his young Family.

They rallied for Alex, i hope they do the same for Damian.

Thanks for bringing this 2 attention FT….tragic for all concerned...

Hopefully the NRL plans to as well...

I know this is a little off topic , but for many people still playing senior footy I would advise that you check with your club that you are actually covered by insurance

Some clubs even in this day and age still don't insure their players
