Plenty of Positives

Possession efficiency was better then manly, we made less errors
We forced 4 line drop outs
We had 52% of possession
We got over the line twice with the ball but both called back
Until the last couple of minutes it was only 14 - 0 and were in it if we score instead of the long range try
We learnt that Robbie farah should never go off because Iosefa is an idiot and gives away penalties
We learnt tedesco isn't a winger at the moment but Moltz had a great game
Aaron woods was again the best prop on the field
Adam Blair had a great game until the stupidest play on earth when he kicked that ball
Manly are a great team and we were right with them for 75 minutes in the pooring rain

All this in the pooring rain where we normally suck

we couldnt score a point against a team that had a completion rate of 7/19 at half time - there were no positives there tonight. If they hold the ball they beat us by 50\. They pushed us back in defence, they pushed us back in attack, they outmuscled us, we were woeful 1 thru 17 and coach included.

We went missing as a team again tonight. That might be a coach or tactical error. Then we had a few individuals show they are not team players. Makes it difficult for the newbies and the guys that put in every week.

some of those ref calls were ridiculous,if tom symonds didnt knock on in front of the manly posts im a bad judge we more than likely would of scored to make it 14-6 with 20 to go,but checchin ruled otherwise.

And yet we still couldn't score a point! Sorry mate, but I can't find any positives in that.

I think that's a bit harsh. Manly defended like their lives depended upon it and we got screwed by the referees. We were down on troops and - lets be charitable, the coach was experimenting. There were definitely some positives out of that.

I reckon the biggest issue facing the team is Potter somehow getting Benji to play to his strengths and to cut out the rubbish.

Total waste of 40 bucks, the only positive i saw was i was positive they would not score.

If that's how little you know about football then it was always going to be a waste of 40 bucks unfortunately

Got to be right up their in our very worst performances, the rain saved us getting spanked by 60.we will not get the spoon but we will be close

How were we screwed by the referees, Pete? If anything I reckon Manly were screwed by them with that 'obstruction' no try.

52% of the ball and could not score a point beautiful now thats a positive maybe you can find one i sure cannot find one then i have only been a tiger for 60years.

I thought the refs gave us few favours, I thought the obstruction on Lawrence was pretty average, Lyons milked it, one of the Manly early try's was off a clear forward pass, The refs missed Symonds knock on on his line and the length of the field try looked to be off a forward pass in goal. All of which may have been turning points in the game if the decision had gone our way. However, we still should have had this game wrapped up in the first 30.

I wasn't confident that we could win this one, If we had scored a couple try's I would have been reasonably happy with our performance, our inability to score is a worry, jury still out.

Good thread. I think we put in tonight and there were some positives.

I thought Lawrence looked good as well. Blair really impressed me and I think he has found a role.

You should drink the other half glass mate.

They had zero ball for 25 mins we had the best on ground and couldn't come close to scoring a point. We score 10 points game over.

A good, No average Side would have won that. It was a mentally weak effort tonight.

The stats levelled out because we had nothing at the end despite having all the ball for most of the first half. WTF

Even if we make the semis we offer nothing based on that. Mentally soft. Pay cash and buy hard men to replace they boys we have.

Pathetic effort
