I doubt we'd count amongst them, we haven't got a brass razoo…

I don't really know why people get this impression 2015 was our best year with revenue almost covering expenses…

In 2016 we had the largest jersey sponsorship we have ever had the largest membership numbers we have ever had ...and the best corporate year ever...Wests Tigers as an entity are well on the way to being self sufficient....

Maybe it comes from the impression that Wests Tigers are Balmain...i dunno.. 😕

Is all about appearances. You look at our facilities at Concord, Leichardt and Campbelltown and just assume we must be broke. Why else woukd you use these places.
Then consider rookie coaches, fringe first grader signings. Players paying for lunch…
We don't look like a rich club.

Yeah I guess it's more that perception is reality. I know sports media in Sydney is hardly a bastion of truth but we hear many stories of the club deferring payments and the like. Couple that with our substandard facilities, recruitment, TPA's outside of Harry T and our inability to consistently lure big names on and off the field as Gallagher has said and over time you could be forgiven for thinking that we're struggling.

Moreover, covering off on SFA expenses doesn't make you a well off club, it means you're covering whatever meagre spending power you do have. When spending and revenue trend up at an equal rate I'll be happy.

The radio was saying yesterday that the authorities have found a $75 000 a season hole between what was recorded and was actually received by Anthony Watmough

I don't know if this is on top of what had already happened in 2015

Maybe Parra have been caught out again …...

Couldn't find any articles though

There were a few articles. I think it said Seward and a sponsor were effectively going to give Watmough a brown paper bag with $75k in it.
