Traditional Lib seats in Vic such as Menzies gone to Labor. The Conservatives have been smashed in Vic.
Yes Liberals getting smashed, but it's not Labor doing the smashing. It's the rich seats that were always blue ribbon that have gone to independents. And even to Greens in Queensland! My tip is Labor will form minority government, not a majority.

He was specifically talking about Vic...

Whichever way and whatever happens, both major parties have got a punch in the face. Coalition because of Morrison and Labor because of Albanese and policies being wimpish. So people have turned elsewhere.

If you're a Labor supporter and taking this as a big win, you're a bit odd and detached from reality.

What it means is the Coalition change faces at the next election and could easily be returned. Labor have a few years to try and prove themselves with the shackles of greenie and weirdos around their neck. Wont be fun for anyone.

Or you could look at what most that would support Labor here over the coalition have actually stated.

That being that the Liberals in particular lost any chance of their vote at various moments, mine being August 2001 and others before and after that date when they had morphed into something further conservative and to the right that they could no longer consider.

That is what happened today on a much larger scale than previous ones. I really hope that they go down the Peter Dutton right wing road that @Jedi_Tiger wants and banished from power for decades as a result of following Morrison further down that dark road of division.

Same applies there. The big story there is the safest of safe Liberal seats, the wealthiest areas of Melbourne, going independent.
Yes because it's a rejection of inaction on climate change and a lack of integrity in government. Labor have bled left to the Greens and the Coalition have also bled left (even as far as to the Greens in Queensland). The Coalition will need to reposition themselves which will be difficult when most of their moderate candidates have been culled.
