Trouble for me is they are condoning an attempted political coup by an authoritarian that they allowed, in Kushners words, to conduct a "hostile takeover" of their party and realised they could further abuse the system with Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon at the helm. Yes, it may be a flimsy venture that I hope and expect that few if any of the legislatures he is trying to influence will submit to assist in carrying out, but seeking a coup in real time nonetheless.

Despite their penchant for gerrymandered states and voting suppression, this is next level with no middle ground for Republican leadership, as they either believe in democracy or not and are allowing further fracturing of the nation with an exponentially expanding QAnon cult playing too big a part as the world watches on.
