Poll: Who wants a new section for less-moderated discussions

Problem I see is that someone will get flamed on there, complain and I suspect a few of the posts will warrant banning. I don't like the idea of having two sets of rules on here.

Sending the wrong message if we change

Someone will go off in the wrong Forum and then it will be

"I'm sorry , I didn't realize it was this Forum "

You either like this Forum warts and all (not that there is in my opinion ) or you don't

Make a choice

to tell you truth people,

sometimes this place is like a kindergarden.

However there are good people on here - thats why we congregate. I mean good people.

The rest need to be roped in.

Or to be politically correct

guided.

I can only see this ending badly. The forum works well at the moment. If there are some opinions that cannot be expressed because of forum rules then so be it.

From what I can see it's more about how those opinions are expressed rather than the opinions themselves that seems to be the bulk of the issue.

Having a separate section allowing these to be expressed in a derogatory manner will no doubt bleed over to the regular forum. It will also encourage more personal attacks. He said, they said, we'll physically sort it out on the hill type of comments. I for one don't want to see this occur. There are other forums and avenues for this type of behaviour and I would not like to see it encouraged here.

The forum works, so if it ain't broke don't try and fix it please.

We're all guilty of that from time to time. Its how you control it that counts.

As an older member of the forum, I have enjoyed more than five years of involvement. The standards upheld have been admirable and makes the reading enjoyable.
The fact that a good relationship has been forged with the official forum and the Wests Tigers management team after considerable work must not be ignored. Without this, the flow of information from the Club would diminish or stop. The Forum would be all the poorer with fewer "official" facts.
Rather than put this quality Forum at risk, why not simply suggest to those, who want an AO forum to go and start their own!

1\. I've been mod warned for saying the f word even though it gets automatically edited out before so that gif in the sig up there is likely going to get you in trouble.

 thanks. 4 minutes of dodgy photoshopping did the trick!

Brandis could be the new moderator, ensuring everyone's right to be bigoted…

Hehehe…I thought the same thing. In fact, after reading the comments of some moderators on here, I thought he was doing it already.

The only thing i'd suggest is to have an area where language is a little less moderated. Not saying it so we can have an area where we drop the f bomb and insult others in every post, but an area where we don't have to be as mindful in what words we choose to use.
