Poor Crowd again!

Campbelltown Wests Tigers Fans are just not turning up to support the team…only 12,500 fans last night on the back of a disappointing attendance the last time the team played there. This despite the game being heavily promoted and many tickets given away.

I think the fans in the area need to make a stand whether they want the WT team to play out of Campbelltown or not....If these poor crowd figures continue I wouldn't blame the club if they pulled stumps from the west... :sign:

My daughter won two tickets to the game and went and said the atmosphere was great at the ground, sure more people the better but she said it was good.

This thread proves that the theory of the only people who ever whinge are ex-Magpie fans is a complete myth. Its funny because you'll point your finger at the people of C-town, then turn around in the same breath and say we need to put an end to the Balmain/Wests crap and move forward, not realizing that your complaints about the C-town crowd is a Balmain/Wests arguement for the simple fact that you believe only Wests fans attend C-twon and Balmain fans attend Leichardt. All this crap people say about moving forward is said only if it suits their agenda

Surprised it took you so to start this thread Alexaki.
What makes you say the Campbelltown fans aren't showing up. I've noticed by reading all these other posts regarding the Panthers game that quite a few fans from forum didn't attend the game either. There are a lot of referrals to commentator comments and opinions that you just don't get at the game.
So please don't just blame the people of Campbelltown

It was a FREEZING Saturday night against the team coming 15th on the back of 3 losses in a row. How many did you expect?

Since when is 12,500 a "poor" crowd? The long term average of C'town and leichhardt is just over 13,000\. The crowd was just average and probably reflects the team's recent performances.

Spot on.

Let's play more Sunday afternoon games at this venue and some Friday and Saturday nights at Leichhardt and see how it goes.

I think you didn't go to the game -

It sounded like a packed house at allianz stadium

It was a FREEZING cold night, and ZERO Panthers supporters showed up - Last time we mauled the Panffers 30-0 in penriff It had about 1/3 tigers fans at the game.

Campbelltown would get 15,000 - 20,000 people if they played sunday arvo games all the time like at Leichhardt - Its just that all the other games there are nights, and mondays - and in terms of opposition, we end up playing the crap teams at Cambo that don't draw crowds. - Canberra, Panffers, Cowboys, and the Eels - the eels game coming up will draw a decent crowd, but the fact its monday night will negate that.

If we played against the Storm, Dragons, Roosters, Doggies, or Sea Eagles there this year the crowds would be so much better.

I'm from Balmain, I got the train down, got a great seat and saw an awesome win. There was a great atmosphere, 95% of the crowd WT fans. Bloody cold though, no beer queues (woohoo!) but massive lineup for coffee! There is big support in the Macarthur. Up the Tiges…

How many did you expect?

We average 14000 or so there….you want the club to dump the area because a few thousand DIDNT show up, yet 12500 DID.

Great logic.

Seriously, the club sees its a bit of a problem, but maybe the club just has to accept that in this day and age with the purse strings being tightened everywhere.....''luxuries'' get put aside with essentials getting preference, and anyone with half a clue knows Sydneys west & south west are doing it toughest.
